Our Bills played a whale of a 1st half VS Arizona. The $64K question is can we just get after it like that for another 20 minutes? I sure hope so...Let's Go Bills!!!!!

I think it was just last week that someone (it may have been Jalensdad) commented about a monster tourney that Tommie had somewhere over on the Eastside. I don't think that there is a worry about Tommie's playing ability at all. We just need to pray that he becomes academically eligible for next year. I am anxious for a report on a positive report on D. Polk. If his kneecap is healed then Brad has a heckuva recruiting class going, and all we may need is a stud power forward to cement it.

T & T, You must have been a good boy, as your Mom has let you have some computer time again afterall. While I can't be courtside, I will be watching on the tube. I'd say that I would be working on my tan, but by FL standards it is supposed to be chilly this weekend.

I will be interested in seeing how many people show up for this National powerhouse, and no, I'm not as interested in hearing the announced attendance as much as I will be in seeing how many show. IMHO if the actual crowd is less than 15K then that's p!ss poor. Our team needs an enthusiastic and loud crowd to show up tomorrow. Let's Go Bills!!!

Funny how I remember Mizzou lost to WVa and Mark Bulger in I believe the last meaningless bowl game that Mizzou played in.

Bob Ramsay before making the claim on our talent being the best in the last 15-20 years...I wonder where Bullit Bob ranks this year's talent, as we already know what he thought about last year. Kahok...good to see you post again. You do make some good points, and no one will argue that we must continue raising the talent bar. I cannot comment on the local kids but it does appear to me that Coach Soderberg is trying his darndest to improve the program. Don't be bashful about voicing your opinion, as you seem to be a fan just like the rest of us. By the way, what kind of basketball team do the Kahok's figure to have this year?

If we keep the final score within double digits VS Arizona for this team and where we are now in our development, it will be a moral victory. We have zero chance of beating the GTech team on the road, as they are light years more athletic than WVa. Our hope is to see this team make progress to the point that we are playing our best basketball when conference play gets started. I think it was an easy prediction that we would struggle early on trying to meld players that had not played together. A little patience is the word of the day for this year's team.

I'd have to think that Coach Soderberg made his points with Johnson, and it appears from several of the posts that this kid is coming around and responding to Coach's tactics. Hopefully, this will mean more and more minutes for him because from a pure athletic standpoint he wins hands down over RV.

Thanks for the update I think...no TV down here and I cannot pick it up on radio (for free anyway). We need some players to step it up on the offensive side...looks like early on IO isn't the player some of us hoped he might be.

Good report on Tommie's on court performance...my only concern for the future is his gaining full eligiblilty for next year. As a Bills fan I have my fingers and toes crossed that Tommie is equally as successful in that important detail.

I'm pretty sure that our laws for dealing with illegal aliens stiffened in light of 911. I must say that what happened on that fateful day in our history to those 3,000+ people and their families was most definitely inhumane in my books. If that means that our borders are tighter than ever before then that's fine by me.

That the brand name for the beer sold in that country is "Belikin." I saw signs about Belikin beer as we made our one hour drive to the sight of our Xtreme Cave Tubing excursion. I did not drink any Belikin beers as I had consumed an elegant sufficiency of Dos Equis in Cozumel along with Tequilla Shooters on my snorkel and Carlos & Charlies trip in Mexico. Belize is about as 3rd world as I have seen in my lifetime. Not much to do but take in some of the things to do in the water/Caribbean. On our trip home last night our ship came to a sceaching halt and very quick turn. Then the captain came on the intercom to announce that they almost ran into a raft of people stranded in the Atlantic. Anyway, they sent one of the tendersout and pulled in 7 very weary Cubans who claimed to have been at sea for 5 days in a very makshift boat. We heard that INS took them off our cruise ship before we made land this morning in FT Lauderdale. I beleive that the procedure is for them to be sent back to Cuba where I am just sure that Fidel will be waiting with open arms.

As I see my cyber Billiken friends did a good job rooting our team to a couple more wins over our buy cupcakes. Very happy to see that we did not slip on any banana peels while I was cruising the Western Caribbean with my family over the Thanksgiving Holiday. While the games are going to get harder from here on in, we will get to see what impact Reggie will have as he gets his feet wet. We could sure use him to step up our outside shooting game.

Heck, most people have been mispronouncing and butchering my surname since, oh about 1st grade. I never get bent out of shape about it. My best friend gave me the nickname that I use on this website way back in our drinking buddy formative years. Back in those days at the Bills games, if memory serves me right, we were yelling at Randy Albrecht (SP?) to put Kevin King back in the game.

Apparently, the debate on IO is how his health (ankles) will continue to affect his performance. One would hope that we could get by these first 3 games as he sort of feels his way. However, we get Reggie back after that and if his ankle problem hasn't gotten better by game 4 when our competition picks up, then we would be better equipped to go with a 3 guard offense. I'm sure it will be something Coach is going to monitor. We do need some production from IO, so hopefully he will get close to 100% from a physical standpoint.

One of my hopes is that Coach Soderberg is starting to get through to JJ. This kid is an athlete and we need to see this kid get some minutes. Seeing comments about his good play is a real positive for our team IMHO, as not too long ago I some some comments that led me to believe that he would never see anything but the end of the bench.

B-Roy, Good report on the game and I am not disheartened by the lack of a blowout. We are missing a couple players who figure to get good minutes. You and I will both miss the next game. We are heading to the Caribbean on a Thanksgiving cruise. Should be lots of fun...we are going to do Xtreme cave tubing on Thanksgiving day in Belize, and then eat turkey that night. Let's get a couple more wins this next week.

My night here in the palatial Palm Harbor Palace is never complete without some word from my friend Roy on this evenings Billiken game. I do enjoy reading everone's opinion on what happened and of course Nark is one of my favorites but it's just not final until I read what BR has to say. By the way, I was on business earlier this week...down in that bad Miami again. Thank God I missed the riot yesterday. Brought back memories of my days in Seattle when the WTO came to town. So what's up with someone masqurading as Billiken Roy? Can someone shed some light for me?

Nark, Thanks for your analysis this Florida Billiken fan appreciates it. Now we play the next 3 without Reggie and the next 10 without Ian. I second your hopes that tonight was just a bad shooting night. We need to get off the a better start than last year, so hopefully there aren't any TN Martin type teams looming in our immediate future.
