The MSU fan took it for what it was, it is sad that you are so worried about what mildly might offend someone that you couldn't. I lived in Springfield for a while and I know almost every one from there would take it for the joke it was meant to be. They don't take themselves that seriously and you shouldn't either. I thought he went to MSU - the rumors I heard were that he was not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Was it grades?
