3star_recruit
I haven't seen the kid play.
billiken_roy
a legit 6'6". not the quickest feet. plays a little soft for now. obviously wants to be a wing not a power forward. is a very good shooter though. he is not afraid to step up and take the shot. right now i am saying he is headed for no better than mvc. but because of his size, that could change with a good offseason of hard work. he is worth keeping an eye on. always helps he is a coaches son. 3star_recruit
As slow as Diener?
tseugnekillib
I believe he played with the young (15-16)Eagles AAU team last Spring/Summer which indicates he has some skills. Not sure how well he preformed in that competition.
billiken_roy
i never even thought about comparing him to diener simply because of his 6'6" or 6'7" size. on defense he is under the basket. as "soft" as he is for an inside player, he is stronger right now than what diener was as a college senior. he is a very good shooter. another reason to come to the belleville east tourney as o'fallon is also at that tourney. Jalensdad2002
If you look at his stats they won't make you excited, but look at the improvement of the O'Fallon team. I believe I mentioned to B-Roy that O'Fallon would improve minus Price. An addition by subtraction. Early on that has proven right. O'Fallon is 8-4 Kellerman is averaging around 13ppg, 7rpg, and has only 18 turnovers in 12 games. He is not the toughest guy but he has a nice stroke. I felt he deferred to Price last year. I don't see the Billikens needing to add another wing type player unless he just turns into a top flight player his senior year. He should receive some attention from in-state schools such as Bradley, Northern Illinois, or some of the other mid-majors.
3star_recruit
We've got four scholarships to give in that class. I don't think there's any question that two of those scholarships will go to wings.
3star_recruit
We've got three scholarships to give to the 2005 class if our staff lands a juco power forward in the spring. If we also offer a post player in the 2005 class, that would give us five post players, which is a lot. Thus my assumption that the other two schollies will go to wing players. jmolina
I'm hoping to check it out. The Panthers entertain Belleville West the following evening. Can't make that one.
jmolina
Not a bad game. O'Fallon rallied from a 30-21 halftime deficit to close within 1. But a late turnover did them in and the Redbirds were able to put them away at the free throw line. I had Kellermann for six points on two 3-pointers. The thing I didn't like about his game tonight was he doesn't play close to the basket on offense. He's listed as 6'6" (which I think is being very gracious) but he spent most of the night standing around outside the circle. A kid his size needs to be banging down low trying to get some garbage buckets. I think he pulled down maybe two or three boards on the defensive end. I did like a kid for O'Fallon named Da' Kari Shelby. A little thin but seems to show athletic skills. Get him in the weight room and he might be able to play somewhere after high school. Depending on grades of course, which I don't know about where's he concerned.
