Nate Latsch
http://www.prepstars.com/recruiting_news/2...llen0728006.jsp Proviso East guard Jacob Pullen's stock has been rising since the Nike Camp. Pullen said he now has scholarship offers from Kansas State, Notre Dame, Nebraska, St. Louis, USC and UAB. "I want to come in and play I know that for a fact," Pullen told PrepStars.com. "I don't want to redshirt, that's why I like Kansas State so much." - Nate
Majerus Magic
I wonder if Huggins told him that he wanted him all along and that MAYO was just a back up. I wonder if people in Misery land now realize that MAYO and WALKER were never coming to mizzou.
tseugnekillib
Nate, I watched Pullen play a couple of games this weekend. He is the real deal. Drives to the bucket to score or dish, good mid-range and perimeter shot, strong for a high school senior....will get stronger in college. He reminded me of former Bill, Marque Perry. stlsfinest
I think SLU has a much better chance of getting Kavon Lacey. Lacey has proved all summer that he's a solid PG.
tseugnekillib
Based on watching Pullen and Lacey each play a couple of games this summer....Pullen is by far the better shooter. Both players are strong and quick driving to the basket, but Pullen is (imo) a much, much better all around player. I agree that SLU would have a better chance of getting Lacey.....but if a kid can't shoot mid-range or from the perimeter, I'm not sure if SLU would be highly interested ..... again, just my opinion. I've never even heard them mention Mizzou before. Don't be a hater.
Nate Latsch
>I think SLU has a much better chance of getting Kavon Lacey. >Lacey has proved all summer that he's a solid PG. Does Lacey have any scholarship offers? I've heard he's a better football prospect than basketball prospect, though I don't know if he has any offers for football, either. I like Lacey (as a basketball player), but I'm not sold on him being a D-1 player. - Nate
Majerus Magic
You must be deaf then. Everyone in Columbia was shouting for Huggins because everyone thought Huggins and his two prize recruits were gonna come together.

Billiphan
>You must be deaf then. Everyone in Columbia was shouting for >Huggins because everyone thought Huggins and his two prize >recruits were gonna come together. You must have bad connections if you think that was the case. Check your sources. THe Huggins rumor swirled for a few days before it was squashed. There wasn't even enough time for the Mayo/Walker fervor to build among EVERYONE in Columbia. Don't be a hater.
