billiken_roy
larry had another good game last night vs memphis. he has started all 4 pre-season games for the wizards as the shooting guard, and played the most minutes in each game. last nite he played 31 minutes (led the team). 7 for 11 from the field (led the team), had 15 points (led the team), 3 assists, only 1 turnover and 5 steals (led the team). the messageboard talk about using larry as trade bait to snag a power forward has stopped. now they are questioning if stackhouse might bring more since stack is going to play out of position all year as the sf. thetorch
This is great news for Larry, I think Eddie Jordan is really going to give him a chance to shine. Two things are key for Larry. He must grasp the new offense as soon as possible. Jordan will run a princeton offense like the Nets use which will mean a lot of running and a chance for Larry to show his skills in transition. It will take time for the team to mesh in this new setup, especially considering some of these guys are notoriously not the sharpest bball minds (Stackhouse, Brown, Haywood). The sooner Larry picks it up the more time he will see. Two is the development of Jarvis Hayes at the 3. He is a rookie but a stud defensively and has impressed the coaching staff. He will be pushing for time at the 3 which may push stackhouse over into Hughes' spot more at the 2. But it also opens up Stackhouse as trade bait, for a mobile post player as Jeffries and Brown are not looking so good. Stacks has the max contract though, it may be hard to move him during the season.
Schasz
I am not trying to throw any rain on this subject, but I do hope to see Larry carry this kind of production into the regular season.
