BLIKNS
After playing AZ and GT,our Sagarin rating is 184,and SOS is 267,ouch.Do you think we can still get a good rating?I think it will continue to rise.
Basketbill
it is very early, and we still have some good teams to play in the nonconference schedule. Dayton is undefeated at last I looked. our games against AZ and GT have helped out quite a bit thus far, but the bulk of our strength of schedule is going to com against Marquette twice, UNCC twice, cinci, louisvile memphis Uab and perhaps even Depaul (have they beat anyone of note yet?) thetorch
Of course the season is only 6 games old. We have a great schedule, but we have to win against some of our tough opponents. That has not happened yet.
kwyjibo
There is good news and bad news in our scheduling. Also, RPI is only somewhat meaningful now (SLU is 198) and if you win things work out. Winning is obviously the most important thing, and right now SLU needs a little winning streak (win 3 before Dayton?). That said, getting a good RPI will be more difficult than other recent years despite some of the quality teams we have played (because we play 4 RPI anchors). The good news is Arizona and Ga Tech are good teams that play good schedules. They will continue to boost our RPI some. Playing Dayton and K-State and West Virginia all help/will help. SMS might help. I think Butler will likely hurt a tad. C-USA is doing OK but nothing spectacular RPI-wise (UAB is in the best position so far but more important is the fact that C-USA is ranked 7th amongst conferences). The bad news is that we play 4 of the worst teams in the nation (right now Grambling has an OK RPI by virtue of the fact they have played a tough schedule, once they start playing games in the SWAC they will head down or level off in the 250 area). After Savannnah State beat E. Kentucky, EKU took temporary lead in worst RPI but don't forget NC A&T is going to be in the running as well. It is also possible that Butler will hurt if they don't finish a few games above .500 in the Horizon.
