Majerus Magic
According to some posters at Mosports.com, Coach Soderberg has offered 6'3 Guard Scott Suggs. I don't know much about him, but they say he is destined to be a 5 star player. Again, take it for what it is worth. He attends Washington High School. eskimo
This kid averaged 12ppg and 3.6rpg as a freshman last year for a team that finished 5-19. He's listed on the Post Dispatch site as 6-2 and 150 lbs. Sounds fishy, I hope he grows about a foot.
billiken_roy
that's pretty skinny, but if he is only a sophomore he has time to fill it all in.
Taj79
Is it typical that college coaches "offer" kids after their freshman year? Seems to me that the crystal ball would have to extremely clear and focused as to what the needs will be two, three years down the road. Or if the coach is even here. And going on someone's prediction that a freshman will grow into a five-star player ... well slap me with a Patrick Jira, whydon'tcha? Sure, there are the Damon Bailey's of the world that commit to a school in eighth grade, but that's usually all kid and no school.
billiken_roy
notice in the above report though taj, there is no mention of a verbal commitment back from the kid. so i am not too excited or concerned at this point.
Taj79
Do you think that would add validity to the rumor? I do not believe for a second coaches are out there "offering" as such a young age. Consdiering the moniker and the fact that this person has 18 posts in almost a year and a half ..... again, fishy.
