former_d1
Down here in Arkansas there has been some strange things happening. Ark State was beaten last night by UAM (Arkansas Montcello d2 team). UAM won 9 games last year. A State has been picked by some to win the sunbelt this year. Tonight UALR hosts OBU (Ouachita Baptist). OBU has beaten Centenary and played La Tech to about an 8 point game. Tech has the leading rebounder in d1 (lead the nation as a true freshmen) and has been picked to finish in the top three in the WAC. What have these d2 teams been eating???? Anyone else heard of any d1 schools getting beat by the d2 schools so far?

kwyjibo
Former Billiken nemesis William Jewell beat UMKC Roos. NAIA Carroll College beat Idaho St. I would guess there will be more. Last year I was able to "prove" how the club team at Hampshire College (they are not affiliated with either the NCAA or NAIA at any level and the school does not have grades) would beat UConn easily. Hampshire beat Vermont Tech (it was an exhibition but all the rest are regular season) Vermont Tech beat Paul Smith Paul Smith beat St. Joe's (NY) St. Joe's (NY) beat Purchase Purchase beat the other St. Joe's in NY (Long Island) St. Joe's (LI) beat the Merchant Marines Merchant Marines beat Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Claremont-Mudd-Scripps beat Point Loma Point Loma beat Biola Biola beat Westmont Westmont beat Oregon Tech Oregon Tech beat Southern Oregon (twice) Southern Oregon beat Western Oregon Western Oregon beat Central Washington Central Washington beat Colorado Mines Colorado Mines beat West Texas A&M West Texas A&M beat Lubbock Christian Lubbock Christian beat Rhode Island Rhode Island beat Providence Providence beat Connecticut

p diddy
i have a cousin who lives in evansville who attended the evansville-southern indiana game last weekend. evansville won by 13 points, but he said it was a hard-fought game most of the way. s. indiana is the preseason No. 1 team in Division II. My cousin said that many people in town thought southern Indiana would win the game straight up. the game drew a sellout crowd of more than 12,000, which was evansville's biggest crowd in years. bad boyz for life
