bills16
i'm not bryce's dad but i've been to mt. vernon a few times. a friend attented briefly the small college there, cornell college. not the ivy league school. my wife grew up in the area. i would say mt. vernon is about 20 miles from iowa city. it's a very scenic small town with the college there and the rolling hills of that area. most people think of iowa as being very flat but eastern iowa especially is not. very beautiful rolling hills and the closer you get to the mississipi river it becomes more rugged. Iggy
I'm planning on spending New Year's Eve in Iowa City. Last year I had a blast spending it in Dayton.
Quality Is Job 1
I believe I would find such a trip fun, but I've got a couple of deterrents. My money is really tight, and I'd need the Billiken Club to be sponsoring something. I have no desire to be driving long distances when it's likely the weather will be icy/snowy. guest
Fellas, As someone who has ties to the University of Iowa (My Grandpa was a booster in the exclusive "Hawk's Nest" for serveral years), I definately will be in I-city for New Year's. I am a Peoria native and I think the whole clan will go up for the game. I will ask the ticket office if we could get a package up at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, possibly some parking passes, who knows. I was up there three years ago for the Iowa-Northwestern game for New Years and that was a blast. As for Anthony Drejaj, I will bring a poster with the words "It's Drejaj vu all over again" when he hits a game-winning three against pretty boy Alford and the Hawks! -billikenbobby- I would like to go ahead and trademark that "It's Drejaj vu All Over Again" comment. It's very original and my idea. Thanks. If I see a sign or anything with this comment on it, you will hear from my lawyer, Brown and Cruppen.
