Recruiting Lists By Class

Recommended Posts

2020 Offers: 2 commitments (Markhi Strickland, Andre Lorentsson), 0 scholarships remaining.

Antione Bloxton - SG, 6-2, 170 - Chicago, IL (Bogan) - AAU: The Work Foundation - Twitter: @Antionebloxton3
Offers: Saint Louis.

Interest: TBD.

Latest News: Bloxton was named first team all-state for Class 3A in Illinois. (3/23/20)

Scouting Report: Bloxton has a smooth all-around game and a ton of scoring ability. A high-level athlete, he plays with speed and explosiveness and is excellent in the open court. He has great passing instincts and breaks down defenders off the dribble. He scores a lot in the lane despite his small size because of his length and athleticism. He likes to get separation on his jumper with a side-step move and has feathery touch from any range. He's a pesky defender who takes chances. He transferred from Julian to Bogan during his junior year. Rankings: Prep Hoops - 460.

Dylan Branson - SG, 6-5, 200 - St. Louis, MO (Mehlville) - AAU: MOKAN Elite (Nike EYBL) - Twitter: @dbranson33
Offers: Saint Louis, DePaul, Nebraska, Tulsa, SIU-Carbondale, Southeast Missouri, Kansas City.

Interest: Creighton, Iowa, Kansas State, Missouri, Wichita State, Cincinnati, New Mexico, Colorado State, Cornell, Illinois State, Indiana State, Texas-El Paso, Milwaukee, Towson, William & Mary, Louisiana-Monroe, Maryland-Eastern Shore.

Latest News: Branson averaged about 16, 6, and 6 for a strong Mehlville team that was bounced by Chaminade in the MO Class 5 quarterfinals. (3/23/20)

Scouting Report: Branson is a big, tough combo guard with solid playmaking abilities. He ran point for Mehlville last season, using his size and strength to create matchup issues and his smarts to run the show. He has good court vision, passing ability, and communication skills. He has a solid jumper and can get to the basket with his big frame. He rebounds well for a guard and can play a few positions. He transferred from Chaminade to Mehlville after his freshman year and will now play alongside Lamontay Daughtery and Davion Bradford. Branson's family adopted another fellow teammate, King Waller, when they were in seventh grade. Rankings: Prep Hoops - 248.

Graham Ike - C, 6-9, 245 - Aurora, CO (Overland) - AAU: Colorado Hawks (Adidas) - Twitter: @Graham_Ike5
Offers: Saint Louis, Massachusetts, Washington State, Air Force, Loyola Marymount, Akron, Bucknell, Rider, Northern Colorado.

Interest: Virginia Tech, Arkansas, Tulsa, Colorado State, Boise State, Utah State, San Francisco, Pepperdine, Portland State, Cornell, SIU-Carbondale, Ohio, Holy Cross, American, East Tennessee State, Chattanooga, Georgia State, Coastal Carolina, Marist, South Dakota, Omaha, Longwood, Eastern Washington, Montana, Montana State, Weber State, UC-Davis, Cal State-Bakersfield, Stetson, Liberty, Utah Valley.

Latest News: Ike suffered partial tears to his MCL and LCL on December 5th and missed the rest of the season. His plans for next season are unclear. (3/23/20)

Scouting Report: Ike is a big-bodied traditional post player with a nice skill set. He shows great footwork and collects a lot of offensive boards. He's a tough, long defender who blocks shots and rebounds. He moves well and consistently knocks down mid-range jumpers. He plays hard and with a lot of consistency, scoring in double digits in all but one game in his junior HS season and registering double-doubles in 17 games, including all playoff games. He's a good passer for a big and his HS team runs the offense through him, a big leap considering he played sparingly as a sophomore dealing with injuries. Rankings: Prep Hoops - 163.

Carlton Linguard - C, 6-11, 200 - Temple College (San Antonio, TX)
Offers: Saint Louis, Kansas State, TCU, Texas A&M, USC, Colorado, Tulsa, New Mexico, Texas-San Antonio, Texas-Arlington, Texas State, Northern Colorado.

Interest: St. John's, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Kansas, Baylor, Texas Tech, Missouri, Oregon, Arizona State, Central Florida.

Latest News: Linguard said he would visit K-State, Texas A&M, and Colorado, but visits are on hold for now. In addition to those three, he seems to like Texas Tech. (3/23/20)

Scouting Report: Linguard is a long, lean post player with a wide range of skills. He's physical despite his frame, he maintains post position, has soft touch, he can step out to shoot from mid-range or occasionally the perimeter, and he's mobile. He's an elite shot blocker and excellent rebounder, especially on the offensive glass. He gets into foul trouble, though. He averages 13.3 PPG, 9.5 RPG, and 3.6 BPG (third in NJCAA D-I) with a slashline of .514/.265/.701.

Dusan Mahorčič - PF, 6-10, 230 - Belgrade, Serbia (Moberly Area Community College, MO) - Twitter: @DMahorcic
Offers: Saint Louis, USC, Tulsa.

Interest: Florida State, Virginia Tech, Indiana, Oklahoma, West Virginia, TCU, Missouri, Arkansas, San Diego State, Maine.

Latest News: Mahorčič received an offer from USC. He was named to the second all-region team after averaging 9.9 PPG and 6.0 RPG this season. (3/23/20)

Scouting Report: Mahorčič is a skilled, versatile big man at both ends. He can score in the post, finishes strong at the rim, and can step out and shoot from mid-range. He's a strong rim protector and he rebounds very well at both ends. He understands spacing and screens. He shows a high motor in transition. He played at Notre Dame HS in Niles, IL for three seasons after coming to the US. He dealt with foot injuries for most of his freshman year at D-II Lewis University. A late bloomer who improved dramatically his senior HS season, he got looks from Virginia, Illinois, USC, Georgia Tech, Georgia State, Pepperdine, Cal State-Northridge, and others before ending up at Lewis.

Brandon Murray - SG, 6-5, 225 - Baltimore, MD (Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) - AAU: Team Melo (Nike EYBL) - Twitter: @IamBm23
Offers: Saint Louis, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure, George Washington, Georgetown, DePaul, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, Wichita State, North Texas, East Tennessee State, UNC-Greensboro, Coastal Carolina, Hofstra, Towson, Siena.

Interest: VCU, Davidson, St. Joe's, George Mason, Creighton, St. John's, Virginia, Maryland, Purdue, Texas, Kansas State, Auburn, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Washington State, Connecticut, Temple, Central Florida, Tulsa, Loyola Marymount, Murray State, Old Dominion, Middle Tennessee, Florida International, Toledo, Ohio, Louisiana, American, Loyola-Maryland, Delaware, James Madison, Elon, Marist, Winthrop, Charleston Southern, Merrimack, Mount St. Mary's, Howard, Florida A&M, South Carolina State.

Latest News: Murray received offers from Wichita State and Georgetown. He was named Baltimore City Player of the Year. (3/23/20)

Scouting Report: Murray is a big, strong guard who scores on all three levels. He scores in bunches and plays a smart, efficient game, not forcing things or taking bad shots. He is deadly from the perimeter and goes to the rim strong. He's a good rebounder and shot blocker at his position and a smart passer, as well. He has a college-ready body and plays extremely tough, with a chip on his shoulder.

Jeremiah Oden - PF, 6-8, 190 - Chicago IL (Sunrise Christian Academy, KS) - AAU: Team Rose (Adidas Gauntlet) - Twitter: @JeremiahOden
Offers: Saint Louis, St. Bonaventure, Massachusetts, DePaul, Minnesota, New Mexico, San Francisco, Valparaiso, Illinois State, Drake, Miami-Ohio, Ball State, Western Michigan, Illinois-Chicago, UTEP, Florida International, UNC-Greensboro, South Dakota, Appalachian State, Little Rock, High Point, Southern Utah, NJIT.

Interest: VCU, Dayton, Xavier, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Wisconsin, Texas, Missouri, Washington, Washington State, Tulsa, Tulane, Santa Clara, Portland, Princeton, Murray State, Morehead State, SEMO, SIU-Carbondale, Indiana State, Ohio, Toledo, Central Michigan, Northern Illinois, Northern Kentucky, Milwaukee, Middle Tennessee, Louisiana Tech, UAB, Samford, William & Mary, Delaware, Drexel, Towson, Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Louisiana, Louisiana-Monroe, South Dakota State, Southeastern Louisiana, New Hampshire, UC-Davis, Bryant, Kansas City, Seattle, Texas-Rio Grande Valley.

Latest News: Oden received an offer from St. Bonaventure in December but there hasn't been any news on him since then. (3/23/20)

Scouting Report: Oden is a versatile combo forward with good length and an inside-out game. He slashes to the rim and finishes with great leaping ability, but can step out and shoot on occasion. He's a fluid athlete and runs the floor well. He played with Brad Beal Elite in the spring and finished with Team Rose for later summer events. Oden is young for his original class (2019) and a bit of a late bloomer physically. He graduated from St. Rita in Chicago and is taking a postgrad year at Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas.

Reginald (Reggie) Strong - PG, 6-2, 160 - Chicago, IL (Orr) - AAU: Illinois Wolves (Under Armour Association) - Twitter: @reginaldstrong3
Offers: Saint Louis, DePaul, SIU-Carbondale, Illinois-Chicago, Southern Utah.

Interest: Butler, Michigan, Wisconsin, Purdue, Tulsa, UNLV, Illinois State, Drake, Valparaiso, Murray State, Ohio, Louisiana Tech, Western Illinois, Appalachian State, UC-Davis.

Latest News: Strong played well down the stretch for Orr and showed flashes of why he was a bigger-profile recruit a few years ago. (3/23/20)

Scouting Report: Strong is an athletic, energetic, left-handed guard who lights up the game on both ends of the floor. He's wiry but has good length. He plays with a lot of smarts and anticipation, creating a ton of steals on the defensive end and making plays for his teammates on offense. He has tight handles and a great crossover, which he combines with a quick first step to get to the rim. He loves to play in transition. His jump shot keeps getting better and he has good, replicable mechanics. He also rebounds his position extremely well. He fills up the stat sheet. He transferred from St. Joseph's to Orr for his senior year.
