Basketbill
Ryan Tillema 6-7 hoopmasters list him at #100, they also list St.louis in the running for Marcus Landry, and KL is ranked 58. Tillema as a junior 19.5 ppg, 8 rpg, 4 apg, 2spg.

StLouBlue
Here is a ranking of the top players in Wisconsin. Down the page some is the Junior rankings, Landry is #2 & Tillema is #3. Also the #1 ranked senior was Tillema's teammate last year. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/prep/apr04/221464.asp
sp_billiken
Haven't seen this kid personally, but he played with 6'-10" Greg Steinsma - who committed to Wisconsin as a junior. The word around here is that Tillema is more athletic and skilled than Steinsma and a legit D1 player.
Basketbill
all I have found about him is that UWGB is very interested, does anyone have a pass to the guru websites that tells a little more.
billiken_roy
insiders only lists his height and school. nothing about schools or details on his game. i did find this link: http://oldgoldfreepress.com/columnist/Bob_...lumns/412.shtml imo, while he sounds like a hard working young man, if dennard abraham qualifies out of juco, i would rather have abraham. guest
He is a solid player. He plays in smallest division in Wi. Nice shooter, not real quick. St. Louis might be nice fit but not sure he can defend well enough at the 3 at this level.
swenson
Tillema is a 6'7 wing forward. Very good shooter. Skilled offensive player. Average athlete. Not particularly physical or aggressive. Wanted to be recruited by Wisconsin. Probably not a great fit and likely won't happen. Right now he is likely a mid major type player. He is worth following. Since he does shoot the ball so well with range he may fit Brad's offensive system. Landry played very well in Wisconsin's advanced camp. He is likely the best player in the state in '05. Although it is arguable that Wesley Mathews is the top player. UW leads but UConn has become involved.
jjray
Is this a tall Drew Diener? Personally, I'm not too thrilled with the idea of SLU signing a 3 that is not athletic enough to defend the position nor big / strong enough to play 4. IMHO, this sort of player does not compliment Luke Meyer who we have already recruited at the 3.
swenson
Tillema is taller and a little more athletic than Drew Diener. Diener was basically a zone buster. The only comparison I can come up with is a poor mans Steve Novak. Not as tall but is tougher.....as if that says anything. I question who he guards in a major program that plays mostly man to man defense.
3star_recruit
He sounds a lot like Kyle Korver to me. If he's willing to work at it, Brad can alway teach him to play acceptable defense
tseugnekillib
If Tillema is not a tough/hardnose kid.....Brad won't want him!
sp_billiken
Swenson must be seeing the same stuff I'm seeing. His assessment and potential value to the Bills is right on.
