DeSmetBilliken
I meant to post this earlier, but yesterday on KSDK Frank C. mentioned two possible people for the AD opening. One was Ken Bothof, currently the AD at Wisconsin-Green Bay and formerly Associate AD at SLU. The other was Brandon Macneill, currently the Associate AD-Administration at Kansas. Their bios are at the links below: http://kuathletics.cstv.com/genrel/macneill_brandon00.html http://uwgbathletics.cstv.com/genrel/bothof_ken00.html From what I've read here, Bothof was responsible for the terrible merchandising agreement that SLU had, so I hope he doesn't get it. Macneill sounds like a good possibility. He's very close to KU AD Lew Perkins (in fact, Brandon is married to Perkins' daughter) and according to Frank, Macneill is qualified and interested. Bay Area Billiken
STL media protestations to the contrary, I think we will find that there will be no shortage of candidates for the SLU AD position. Look at the facts. The new AD will inherit a nationally known basketball coach and will soon have a brand new state of the art 10,600 seat on campus Arena. He will inherit a storied men's soccer program that used to be known as the UCLA of college soccer. He will be coming to the 5th highest ranked Catholic university (per US News & World Report). He will be working in the midst of a veritable urban miracle. SLU has a lot of positives going for it.
cheeseman
Bay Area, I agree. The guy from KU looks good on paper at least. Our location is good for him - still close to Grandpa. Do you think we can get a home and home with KU if he is hired?
Newberry
I heard Mark Spencer is interested.
