Things are still positive though and it's still possible that there could be a presser today. It's not incredibly likely, but still possible that it could happen today. His contact talked to Majerus' agent and the agent told him they were very close and to expect a PC on friday. Obviously thats not gonna happen. He mentioned that everyone on both sides seem like it just about done and are very optimistic. He stated that SLU might want to wait till Monday for the presser cause of the draft, cards vs cubs, and the weekend. Not a great time to break the news. Sounded more like an excuse then anything. If everyday you say it might happen today, you will never be wrong, unless it doesn't happen which I guess you still wouldn't be wrong because you never said it would happen, just that it might. After the announcement on Brad's firing and being unable to get any info out of SLU, he started to look at who might be available. He then decided to call Majerus and see what his interest was in the SLU job. Guess that's what Larry B was referring to about the "Media interferring" with the process.
