I don’t blame any ball-handling woes solely on Fred. Blame has to be placed on Travis for basically not recruiting a backup PG and forcing Fred to play point guard and be a primary ball handler, which he probably hasn’t done since his senior year at Sikeston. I think Fred’s importance is really felt when he is not playing.

Bonnies lost to Iona today 72-57. They were at least competitive for most of the game

I think there was a palpable turning point in Fords tenure from the Iona game, and today just reinforced the point. Maybe they can turn it around, I’m not hopeful

Let’s not act like there aren’t options. Grant McCasland at North Texas, Prohm at Murray State, Casey Alexander at Belmont, or a swath of qualified assistants at power 5 schools that I’m neglecting. Sure, any hire could be a miss. But I think we’ve gotten to the point with Ford where there almost isn’t much to lose.

Not 100% sure, my guess is no. Looks like May was hired Jan. 2008, and Hendrickson’s first season at SLU was 2008. That would seem to be a quick turnaround to hire a baseball coach for a spring season.

another point, I honestly don’t trust Chris May to make a good hire if Ford was let go. He’s only hit on 2 soccer coaches, and Kalish was probably the biggest slam-dunk, easiest hiring decision you could have.
