  1. JGOOD+ ‏@jGoodwin1123 7h7 hours ago More Waking the world up next year
  2. Davidson is also going to be in big trouble if they don't do well next year since they will have 7 roster spots to fill for 2018
  3. Yea he is a senior but Peyton is returning who matches Gibbs in PPG, and Gibbs has a solid PG coming in to replace him. Davidson is probably going to be the bottom of what I listed, but they could have potential
  4. No you don't get it. I've spoken to the players on the team, and most of the transfers. They know they are going to be really good next year, that or they are drinking the kool aid too. No one who has interest in leaving is a player we would want to stick around anyways. If Elliot Welmer decides to transfer then I am wrong, however if you dont see a pattern with Ford, he constantly praises the guys he wants to stay, and doesn't play or talk about the others. He really likes Welmer and Welmer knows he has playing time next year so I would be very surprised if he transfers. It would be in Zeke's best interest for him to stay so I don't see him leaving either.
  5. The A10 seems to be heading into a complete turnaround next year. Teams like LaSalle, Davidson, Dayton, VCU, George Mason are on the path for a big upswing, biggest being LaSalle and Davidson. Dayton could have struck gold with Giannis Antenkumpo's brother Kostas
  6. From Notre Dame to Harris Stowe, proves my point. Also poor decision basketball and academically speaking. I'm sure if the kid knew his future he would be very disappointed in himself.
  7. At some schools like Wisconsin, and I am sure others, some of the top level talent sit out their first year and redshirt when the star 6 or 7 are guaranteed to be playing almost all the minutes. Happens in NCAAF all the time so players have time to develop to the college level
  8. Ok so you're on a team, you're not getting any attention or playing time, and the head coach says he is getting another player for 2018, which would mean someone will have to go, do you not feel like you're being run off?? Yea absolutely, If you're on your 2nd transfer would you not be red flagged right away? Players who hop from team to team don't necessarily find themselves on top programs the 2nd time around of transferring
  9. Directly or indirectly, it means the same thing
  10. Would it be accurate for me to say we would recruit a player with potential, rather than lets say an impact player like Goodwin and French
  11. Is that not what I said? When is Bishops injury supposed to heal? I am not saying this is the case at all, but sometimes athletes who don't want to play keep telling a trainer that it hurts too much. That may not be the case at all but I have seen that attitude before. Ok lets say Watson commits. Ford will have to make room for that.
  12. They do have a lot of freshmen talent, they don't seem to be consistent, beat Dayton, lost to SLU. Ford can also sell the facilities and city too.
  13. Does it not imply he already has had discussions with other players. Maybe not asked to leave, but maybe told he might want to look elsewhere, same thing just nicer way of doing things which I assume Ford did.
  14. I assume if French saw himself as too good for UMASS I would feel that Isiah would feel like he would be downsizing to UMASS.
  15. It is heavily implied when he says he is going to add another spot for 2018. Actually it is more than implied, it is a fact. We have to have someone leave in order to have a spot for 2018. Fact
  16. Well actually it kind of makes sense. Sometimes in some leagues or conferences you have a player that can run the court and carry the team on his back. The coach has him play almost the entire game, has him ease on defense and not be as aggressive in order to avoid fouling out, which could change the tide of the game
  17. To get another player for 2018, would we not have to have another player leave?
  18. Sometimes its under coaches orders to ease up for some players who might play the entire game in High School if the competition isn't the toughest and they are tremendous scorers
  19. Thank you for a real and respectable answer. Yes that is what I was trying to go after. When I was looking at the recruits that are outside of the Mo, Illinois area I tried to see what connection they had with us to be more of a feasible recruit. Ranked 57 of the top 60 on ESPN. Only other current schools that seem like competition would be Xavier, VT and Oregon
  20. I don't see how if he admits there will be another roster spot that is currently not available, how that mean someone is leaving the team
  21. Because our coach just said mid season that players are going to be asked to go someone else essentially. I don't see how that's not news. Now its time to look at whats going on at the bench
  22. Ok but no one right now is talking about Ford pretty much just saying that we will have an open slot. Either Gillman graduates early or Matt is gone. I am still thinking that Bishop might want to leave but Nuefield makes the most sense
  23. Also who is our New York connection? Isiah Mucius seems like a great recruit over Karrington Davis
  24. Honestly I would say for 2018, you get people to replace the transfers. Have them develop with talent freshmen year and get some bench minutes, then come out with experience sophomore year in a starting role
  25. "when the game is over I expect him to have 12-20 points 8-10 rebound, some steals and blocks"
