Did I read the article wrong but it said he wants to be at SLU next year for another degree but he won’t be on scholarship. Would he be eligible to play as a walk on since he only played 1 year of ncaa basketball? I’m sure there’s a waiver

Goodwin isn’t overrated, he is just underperforming. He got a triple double last year and almost got it 2 other times. He has shown improvement recently so the best is yet to come.
Not having a shooter has clogged the inside on offense which has hurt us in the paint but with Wiley back and hopefully Thor we can improve upon that.
We will finish top of the conference this year and make a run in the A10 tourney. Doing well in the A10 does make a difference as long as we dominate our opponents

Happy Festivus to everyone, let’s hope 2019 is better for the Billikens than 2018 has been. Ford is staying and hope is still filling Chaifetz arena. This team will get better, Gordon will get better, French is getting better and Goodwin is finding his groove. Wiley will he playing along with Thor. Hopefully Jacobs and KC can play a lot against app state

Airball Isabell has been absent all season. Didn’t that guy shoot like 40% from the 3 last year?

Because if there is a lockdown defense and your top player is shut out of a game, the team becomes lost when the player they relied on is no longer in play.

Jevon Bess is consistent game in and game out and I think his scoring average will increase as the season progresses and get to the elite scorer status.
In my opinion Jevon is really special and I want so bad for our team to get him in the big dance.
Saying he isn’t an elite scorer is not saying he isn’t an elite player. 14 ppg is good but not elite level for a scorer. ,18+ ppg would be elite level imo.

Being one of the top teams in the nation defensively has its perks. No other team in the A10 has close to as good of defense as us other than VCU.
Even though we don’t have a consistent leading scorer, we consistently close out opponents top scorers everytime. Most notable is Butler and Seton Hall where their top scorer wasn’t even close to their average.
Why is this important? Well the A10 teams that will fight us for the conference title have shown us that they are very beatable when playing against teams with defenses that shut out their top players.
A shut out Grady and Loki is a lost Davidson team ( Bess and Thatch will shut them out)
A shut out Charlie Brown can make a 30 point win over the hawks
A shut out Pipkins is a dead Umass team
A shut out Grant golden is a bad Richmond team
A shut out Cunningham is a beatable Dayton team.
Marcus Evans is the only player on a team that I don’t know if being shut out will garuntee a win.
The conference season is ours for the taking. We have 7 players who can put up double digit games any given day. While Bess is our best scorer now, our offense is not a “get the ball to Bess” offense
Just remember Ford’s team last year was a lot better during conference than non conference besides Vtech in almost every way possible

We lost 3 games within 2 possessions. Our most recent game almost took down an undefeated team on their home court, a home court that is trying to take over the longest active win streak currently at 2nd.
Imo everyone who starts attacking people after a loss and everyone who posts “ballgame” 3 min into a game should be Metzed.
Absolutly rediculus. Florida State is on a neutral court, and haven’t played a d like ours. I think it will be close as well.

Butler will be a top 25 team now that their duke transfer is playing. If we beat a top 25 team like butler we can beat Houston. Again they haven’t played a defense like ours yet so time will tell

Going to be a nerd but I feel this time in the season is equivalent to Thor in Infinity War, going away for a bit to regain his power and then come down with his hammer (conference season). His brother is dominating constantly. I have high hopes for him and I think Ford will play him once he is healthy.
I know stats are hard to find but did he ever play on a team with his brother?

I predict LSU to take down Houston tonight at 8. Unfortunately this might take away our thunder if we beat them this weekend but best case scenario, and not to be a dick, is they win and have a player get hurt, making an easier game for us.
No one cared we lost to SIUC with a hurt Bess or Wiley. the headline will be nice if we end Houston’s streak
