I think this defense shows promise too. It's weird to watch compared to Crews/Majerus, but even our young guys are making it difficult for this decent team when we pressure. Like the hustle and energy from everyone. Add in the next two year's talent and we might have something.

We're certainly outclassed, but even if we make just a little bit more out of the opportunities we have we'll be in it.

I agree with this. I'm a few years older than him, but went to the same high school and I just don't see him leaving. From what I understand and gathered from his comments when he committed, he values the education and its not like he'll be playing beyond college. I too think he might enjoy being a part of his hometown team winning even if his role is minimal.

Do you think Gillman will leave on his own? I know he has pretty strong ties to St. Louis. Maybe DII?

I was in the front row of the student section during the exhibition game and I think it broke either before or during that game. Some of the cheerleaders were messing with it.

I'll reel back in some of my over-exuberance about the true freshmen. Some very freshmen-esque plays thus far tonight. Welmer's first couple 3's were refreshing. Agbeko is keeping us in it.

Fair. I guess the offensive struggles overall just made it feel like he wasn't out there as much as he was. If Crawford's shooting doesn't improve I wouldn't mind ZM taking more shots. He had 6 in the last game I believe. As an aside, It was nice to see Agbeko get a little something going in the second half.

Thoughts on Zeke getting more time (and hopefully making more of it) tonight? I thought he looked like arguably the most promising player from the exhibition game and I barely noticed him Friday.

I expect a close first half based on energy alone, but I'm not sure if our talent can keep up for the whole game. Definitely hoping for better and wouldn't be surprised if we were blown out by 15+ or if we won by a couple.

Somebody beat me to the shirt comment. It's almost bad enough to be funny, a friend suggested we go get the shirt just for that reason.
