  1. . I think the system may be too complex for freshmen. Same system worked just fine with seniors who understood it last year.
  2. Lane violation on the first shot of a two shot foul. First time I've seen that.
  3. That's 7 FT for Reynolds. 53 more and we win.
  4. If Reynolds can get to the line 60 times today we may win.
  5. Good start but then a 10- 0 run by the Rams. Our foul machine is now engaged.
  6. Crean is on thin ice in Bloomington, not because of the record but because of the off court issues with his team. If he doesn't clean that up he will be gone regardless of the record. Most of the issues occurred last summer and before the season started. Nothing that is note worthy has occurred off court since the season started, so maybe he has it under control. He will have a significant turnover on his squad for next year, even with no seniors on this year's squad. One, two, or three may declare for the draft and one, two or three may elect (or be told) to go elsewhere
  7. I just voted in the poll on page 1 as to which players will get the most minutes. I took Glaze, Reynolds, Lancona, Agbeko and Jolly. That's your classic four forward lineup. What do I win?
  8. Elliott Welmer will be joining the Billikens next season. His Columbus North HS teammate, Josh Speidel was critically injured in a car accident last weekend. Josh was on our recruiting radar screen before signing with Vermont. We don't know Welmer, and we don't know Speidel. Reports are they were and still are close. Tonight before you hit the pillow, pause a little and pray for our someone in our extended Billiken family. http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2015/02/11/josh-speidel-update-columbus-north-accident/23242463/
  9. Ash played 34 minutes last night. That's basically a 3 minute blow each half. Not sure if you want to push him much more than that. Last night and against St. Joe his shots were primarily drives to the bucket. Those he needs to keep taking. His 29% from the arc is below acceptable (I use 33% as a minimal benchmark). Except for his letting VCU's Graham blow by him on the final drive, Ash's defense has been stellar. But his turnovers, as you say, are inexcusable. We really could use a top notch ball handler on this team. One who doesn't pick up his dribble in a trap. One who doesn't get picked by someone coming up behind him. I don't think the answer is on the squad. Reynolds, Bartley and Roby all have A/TO ratios grouped between 1.29 and 1.23. Our most productive 'point guard' is McBroom at 1.53. Does H Waldman have any eligibility left?
  10. What was the over/under for this game? I'm taking under.
