  1. I doubt If anyone will wear Gilyard out. He’s an upperclassman now, knows the ropes, and is playing 35+ min per game. He’s hitting over 50% from the three. The KC native has had an All A10 start to his junior year. Richmond will be a load for us. They are 8+ deep this season and we all remember how Golden had his way with us in the past. We just don’t have a good matchup for him. He twisted an ankle and missed last game but it doesn’t appear his injury is severe. Moody is coaching as his job depends on this season, and it does.
  2. You should talk to Coach Ford. I’m sure he would appreciate you informing him that he is wrong on how he is handling Hargrove. And while you are at it, tell Coach who to sit so Hargrove can play. He will appreciate your wisdom.
  3. God stuff @Sheltiedave One stat you didn’t list was mpg. I find it interesting that we have 9 averaging double digit minutes and one more sitting at 9.0. One thing I will be watching is, hopefully without a player being injured, will Ford shorten his rotation. Goodwin is tops on the mpg list at 31. Even he can handle more. We aren’t playing a havoc style defense so I am not seeing many players asking for a blow. As the season progresses, will Ford fine tune his rotation as he sees how players interact with each other?
  4. St Joe was 27-0 regular season in ‘03-04. Lost to Okie State in EEight. Nelson and West lead the team.
  5. As I posted on another thread, Mr Bell is outpacing Ian Vouyoukas’ first Billiken year stats. All signs point up for Mr. Bell.
  6. I couldn’t agree more. Yuri’s last two starts (first 5 min) haven’t been stellar. Some players do better watching how the game is developing and then jump in. Yes it is the minutes that count. I want him in at crunch time.
  7. Today the BC win calculates out as a Quad 3 win. We are 1-1 in Quad 2 games (Belmont the win and Seton Hall the L) and then 4-0 in Quad 4 games. These Q2 and Q3 games quite likely will move quadrants once conference seasons start. Quad 4 games will likely stay in Q4.
  8. Isn’t it a good thing that Coach Ford is paid to make these decisions?
  9. According to Coach, Hankton is still recovering from his injury. Are you dismissing his Valpo game?
  10. Three interesting A10 games coming up Thursday and Friday. Davidson v Marquette in our Orlando tourney, then UMass at Rutgers and VCU v Purdue. Two wins would be nice. One win would be acceptable.
  11. A10 went 4-1 today with wins over ACC, WAC, MAAC, and Sun Belt does. Only loss was a close one to Big12.
  12. Look at minutes played. That is what truly matters. The key run started at the 14:30 mark of the second half. Players on the floor then are what counted a lot more than who lined up for the tip.
  13. Let’s take away some of Goodwin’s minutes and give them to Hargrove. I trust the MBM’s who are complaining about TJ’s involvement would approve.
  14. Final. Virginia 46 Maine 26. The highlight of the game was the half time tractor pull.
  15. Post game from Coach We don’t win this game without Jimmy Bell Hankton is still injured Thatch hasn’t recovered from his illness
  16. Mr Bell with 16 solid minutes. Proud of the young man.
  17. Our Free Throws are keeping us in the game!!
  18. At the request of Littlebill, here is a new, non-dated A10 game thread. Tonight, the A10 teams went 4-1, with wins over the Big Ten and ACC. LaSalle picked up a nice win over Horizon Conf Wright State, and the Bonnies got one over the Southern Conference Mercer Bears. Overall the A10 is 59-26 with a cumulative conference RPI of #7. Dayton's live RPI is 7 with SLU currently 107. As someone said on the old thread, Juan Bid has left the building.
  19. A lot of posters just don't understand this. And where is the outrage that Diarra isn't playing. Let him bring the ball up-court and run the offense. By gosh, he is on scholarship.
  20. From watching Auburn tonight and Seton Hall last week, Auburn is a better TEAM. They don’t have a Powell but Auburn is deep and physical.
  21. Good to see Osunniyi back on the floor. 15 and 12 in a Bonnie win.
  22. Topping is hitting from the arc and guarding all five positions. He is playing like he wants to be an All American.
