  1. 36.5/30.0/38.9 That's the formula for a L.
  2. Hightower getting this team straightened out.
  3. Interesting switch for the Dukes. No mention of Tavian being hurt.
  4. I too was anticipating a much faster pace than previous teams. But we are 11-2, so it is hard to complain. We are averaging 3 fast break points more per game than last season so there is that. But yeah, I was looking at 94-40 as to where we were going. But when Collins was called for that 10 second violation walking the ball, uncontested, up the court, my hopes for the Running of the Bills all be disappeared.
  5. No argument here. Just hard to call first of 18 as a do or die game, but yeah, close to it.
  6. It is too early to say this is a must win, but it would be very, very good to win this game. Today (one can go crazy following the daily fluctuations of NET ratings), this would/will be a Q2 win. In the first 1/3 of the conference, we play 4 (as of today) Q1 or Q2 games. The downside is that Duquesne may/will slip in the NET ratings as the season progresses, and this could go to Q3. No Q3 L's please.
  7. Duquesne goes 8 deep. They have 8 that have averaged double digit minutes in all 12 games. They have started the same five in all 12 games, but have three more in the regular rotation.
  8. Interesting, but almost an overload of information. I like the turtle symbol for our pace. So much for the Running of the Bills. Free throws just might be the difference in this game. The Dukes do have Hughes and Steele in the paint (and to an extent Weathers), so they could moderately Hack-a-Hasahn. They wouldn't want to get either into serious foul trouble, though.
  9. Scary stuff. Just information here, but Fred averaged just under 20 mpg last season, and peaked at 37 minutes against Oregon State.
  10. And as you stated the Virginia Confederate University is a nice twist on VCU.
  11. Okay I just figured out your clue Quality, when 05 listed SBUnfurled. I looked on your wiki link to find the original info. Then saw the logos on Unfurled. Pretty neat. Dayton is pretty funny.
  12. That’s pretty good. Sully gets an A for digging that up from 1963. Thanks.
  13. SLU was about the only team he didn't shoot a barb at. I didn't really get the VCU Green Devil reference.
  14. https://www.blackburnreview.com/2019/12/31/sullys-annual-guide-to-the-a10-season/ Yes, another thread with an A10 prediction. I look forward to Sully's review. He is a Dayton honk, but his take on the rest of the A10 is fairly accurate and humorous. It's a fun read.
  15. Stu gives his concise take on the A10. https://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/slu/team-by-team-look-at-atlantic-conference-basketball/article_eaf70958-e0a9-5ac6-9102-057fe148f6a7.html
  16. The JUCO stats I have from last season, which may or may not be complete, show Perkins with a 42.6% 3FG. Shot 61 and made 26 in 28 games. It also shows a 81.4% FT, which is where he is trending.
  17. Thanks for this information Brackets. This could develop into an interesting scenario in March. Would the committee look at these 12 games, particularly for a bubble team, and make a 'correction'? It would be a way for them to slide out a mid-major and put a P5 team in.
  18. I agree mostly with what you are saying. This interesting website shows the "NET Bracket" based on Dec 30 rankings. By this math, A10 is a one bid league. But we all know that if you are a "Syracuse" at 50 you are in. If you are a VCU at 50 you are out. Stir in a down SEC, a strong Big Ten, a stronger Big East and weaker than normal ACC, and you get some interesting possibilities. https://bracketologists.com/bracket/
  19. Wow, DePaul fell 28 places by losing an 8 point home game to Seton Hall.
  20. With only one OOC game remaining, here are some interesting Atlantic 10 stats. Leading Scorer, St. Joe's Daly at 20.4 ppg. Goodwin is 7th at 15.2 ppg Leading Rebounder, Goodwin at 11.4 rpg. Langevine is 2nd at 11.0 Leading FG% is Croswell from LaSalle at 0.632. French is 10th at 0.530. Leading 3FG% is Crowfield of VCU at 0.526. Jimerson listed at 10th with .429 and Weaver in 15th at .406. Leading Assists is Bonnie's Lofton at 6.6 apg. Collins is 4th at 5.8 apg. Leading A/TO ratio is Richmond's Gilyard at 3.4. Collins is 9th at 1.9. Leading Blocks is George Mason's Wilson at 3.8 bpg. French is 3rd at 2.6 bpg. Leading Steals is Gilyard at 3.5 spg. Goodwin is 4th at 2.2 spg. Leading in Minutes is Lofton at 38.6 mpg. Goodwin is10th at 33.8 mpg.
  21. I'm not a big proponent of "we are due", but we have not won at Duquesne since January, 2014. All time we are 15-15 against Duquesne going back to 1934.
  22. Will Billiken Roy figure out how to use the Capital key in the next decade?
  23. I subscribe to the Post, I read it both in print and on-line. I read just about everything Chapley posts and the A10 Talk. I look forward to the numerous Coach Ford interviews. Increasing clicks for SLU is not on my agenda. I click because I want to read what the author has to say. The more Billiken coverage the better. For those who don't like a certain aspect of the coverage, avoid it. Pretty simple. The one thing I do avoid is the SLU Forum on the PD.
  24. Well that is good news. I stand corrected. I will take the NCAA website over a third party. Go to #60. Also listed are the upcoming games, as they now stand. We have to do some damage on the road. https://extra.ncaa.org/solutions/rpi/Stats Library/NET Team Sheets - Dec. 29, 2019.pdf
