RIP basketball? RIP SLU! Their basketball program is a huge marketing tool for not just the athletic program but the school in general. The only connection I even have to SLU these days is via basketball. SLU will never ever see another penny from me as long as I live. Not sure how many alumni are similar to me but I would have to imagine it's a significant amount. I don't think the BofT could possibly give any other answer without it raising some legal concerns.

I'm sure those have been taken down as well. It always surprises me how stupid people can be. I was a juror on a trial and we ruled in favor of the defendant because the plaintiff had Facebook pictures (his account wasn't private) showing him contradicting his entire reason for suing the defendant. What an idiot.

Open case does not necessarily mean ongoing investigation. Or am I wrong on that? No one is doubting this case is still open.

This whole fiasco could end up being another blessing in disguise for me. I was so pissed when the Rams left for LA but soon realized that investing so much time and energy into a game was a complete waste of time. Maybe I'll take up spelunking or woodworking now.

West Coast Billiken seems to be confusing an anonymous internet chat forum with investigative journalists at WaPo. My opinions, just like everyone else's, are based on the few facts we have and a lot of second hand information. No one is claiming their opinions are based on anything but. This is where people come to speculate. 99% of us on this board have not or will not extend our opinions beyond this board simply because we DON'T know all of the facts. That doesn't mean we still can't form opinions on the matter even if there is little to go on. I know the players haven't been charged with a crime. I know how SLU handled S1. I know what can happen when parents get involved. Short of just two made up twitter profiles (John Brown and T Murks) accusing Pestello and SLU of being racists and sexists, most of the public outcry has been people fed up with the lack of transparency and timing of this whole situation. There's nothing wrong with the latter.
