  1. http://www.basketballforum.com/atlantic-10-conference/445971-espn-2010-summer-shootaround-atlantic-10-a.html That is the thread where the debate started.
  2. The problem is, none of this is important b/c Duquense beat Xavier twice in 2004. Yes, that's their argument now.
  3. Nope, they say it didn't happen.
  4. I wanted to try this one out here... The 8-Dayton Flyers.
  5. As I was told on the A-10 board, SLU did not beat Dayton twice last year. As a PSA, I am asking all of you to update your 09-10 schedules to say that Dayton won those games. Also, 8-8 is better than 11-5, so make sure to put Dayton ahead of any 11-5 teams in your final standings.
  6. Dayton fans keep telling me that H2H doesn't tell anything. Which is funny, because if Dayton beats SLU, it will be the barometer by which all things are judged. Darn shifting standards.
  7. I am getting my butt kicked on the A-10 board because dare I mention I think SLU is better than Dayton. Obviously, beating them twice didn't faze them one bit.
  8. I guess all on the road is too much...I'd rather play elite teams on the road as opposed to not getting to play them at all.
  9. Main thing here is the Bills have to win this tournament going away...take that into conference season.
  10. We have conference games...Would you rather have a home game vs. the crap we get in non-con or a road game v. a BCS team? Give me the BCS team every time. Let me guess...you're happy with the parade of bad teams SLU plays in non-conference?
  11. We talk about the difficulty in getting tougher non-con games... Here's an idea: Play the entire non-con schedule on the road. Most BCS teams will take a home game from anyone. Also, the biggest games of the year are typically road games anyway (both conference tourney and NCAA Tourney). We're going to have to win road games, so let's get better teams on the schedule.
  12. Not much good can come of that kind of field...but Cancun in December is sure better than not playing at all.
  13. He really is stuck on this one. That field is not what we were hoping for by any means. But they're trying to protect their spot in Anaheim the year after.
  14. Well, Floyd will come checkbook in hand...ask Rodney Guillory.
  15. Well, practice just got a little better for this year. Another guy who can stroke it will work KC and the permiter guys even harder.
  16. Thank you for that. I am less of a moron on this issue now.
  17. I'm kind of a moron in regards to rules issues, but if we indeed have Barnett, do we only get 12 scholarship players for 2010 since he sits a year? If so, does PE or DY get the last bench spot as a walk-on?
  18. good point Roy...nobody in college sports owns a map anymore.
  19. Because doormats like Fordham need love too...I guess.
  20. That poll comes from the Newark Star Ledger. What good has come out of Jersey? All kidding aside, there's no way the whole thing shakes out like that. There was mention of Texas or A & M in the Pac-10 with Tulsa and Colorado State. That will never happen either. SLU's best bet is for the Big 10 to raid the Big 12/Big East. Otherwise, it could be back to the Valley.
  21. I meant intense as it was with every topic. Seems blood runs pretty hot dealing with KU/NU.
  22. Good stuff Skip. I like Gossage's attitude throughout.
  23. In the A-10 board, I mentioned an unwritten moratorium on the case until there are some legit facts out there. I think the Mods have done well in keeping it that way...I don't want to be speculating on the lives of any of the young people involved.
  24. I actually read Tigerboard for the first time today. It's pretty intense over there. They are speculating on players (much like the rest of the world), but I only saw one name mentioned.
