We were 1-11 from the arc and as Rammer said, none of the 10 misses looked like they had a chance. Mike shot was way off and his decision making on those turnovers just awful. With him cold for the season and no one else stepping up from the arc, I hope Chicago State will go easy on us, not to mention everyone else on the schedule.

Our level of suckage was amazing last night. I hope teams learn lessons from beatdowns and there are plenty coming this year. Pretty sure we can give Chicago State a battle but other than that where do the wins come from? Can you imagine the helplessness of this team if, for some reason, Jermaine can't play? Not sure we could compete in the SWAC with a lineup missing JB. Elliott was the "Under" Welmer last night. We need that guy to play with confidence and last night he looked as shaky as he looked confident in the first three. I have to say, when I saw Neufeld's highlight video when he was being recruited I was less than impressed. Even Jolly's was better than that. I figured maybe there's something there that I'm not seeing, but it turns out there's no there there.

After looking good from the arc in the first three games, Welmer's three pt. shot was way off last night. Not close on any attempt. Wonder if it was just nerves from the first road game of his career, couldn't adjust to the background, or what, but we can't afford any more games like that from him. Gillmann and Neufeld bring nothing. Can't call Gillmann a bust because he wasn't expected to do much, but Neufeld is at least a little bit of a bust considering that he went to the hoop academy in Kansas and played on the Canadian Jr. team.
