Enjoy the blowout or even if we come from behind, so what? Switching over to the Chicago State game and the show Wesley Cardet Jr. will be putting on.

I’m done with this team and I’m jumping on the Chicago State bandwagon!! Wow, did the Cougars put on a show tonight, a 131-55 dismantling of rising cage power, East-West University. The 1-2 punch of Wesley Cardet and Jahsean Corbett combined for 53 points, 25 rebounds, and 11 assists and it was the Corbett show with a triple double of 27, 19, and 11!!

The Cougars now have a shot at becoming only their second team in 36 years to have a non-losing season. BTW, Gerald Gillion coaches this squad. With his Florida recruiting connections, I’m ready for the Bills to sign him up!!

Speaking of the on topic part of this thread, does the coach's show get archived? I'd like to listen to the women's feature from this past Monday.

Also, add the Varsity app and use their “On demand” feature. All Billiken men’s and women’s games and the coach’s show are archived there. Can no longer count the times I’ve fallen asleep listening to Rammer and Earl only to be awakened by Rammer shouting, “That’s the worst call I’ve ever seen!!”

  3. You made some good points although could’ve toned down the rhetoric a bit. Sad part about the Dayton game was they served us up a victory on a night when we couldn’t hit water from a boat.

February will be interesting from an offensive end as Parker regains full conditioning and the offense incorporates him back into the flow of things. Unfortunately, the defensive side is mostly hopeless so the Bills will have to outscore teams to win. Can’t count on it over a dozen or so games.

This is my post. From my point of view, the SLU's team made a great and incredible effort to win this game and wound up losing by only 5. They just could not beat Dayton at their home, which really was not expected to happen. I thought they made their best effort and lost by only  5 pts because it was Dayton at their home arena. I thought they did all they really could, and deserved great praise and honor from Ford. After all, some things cannot be achieved. The effort was there.

I did not see the game but listened to it.

I cannot fathom why Ford decided to blame their poor effort in his post game talk. THIS WAS THE WRONG THING TO DO, THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO SUPPORT THE EFFORT OF A WEAK TEAM AGAINST A SUPERIOR OPPONENT.

Ford lost a great opportunity to be able to ask the team for greater effort

I thought he blamed bad shot selection, referring to Parker and EZ, and fumbling balls back to Dayton in situations where we should’ve had it. Jimerson and EZ’s losing control which led to Dayton baskets were crucial to the loss.

Parker not playing sucked but I can understand it. Sore? Tired? Hurt?

Not playing a big and giving Holmes gimmies? That one is tough to explain.

From the post-game interview, sounds like Ford was upset with their shot selection, especially the forced shots at the rim.

So, we didn’t play Bruce or Brad the last 5 minutes or so.  Someone needs to explain how that’s a good move with Holmes taking over.  Clueless coaching, but we only lost by 5.  Put lipstick on the pig.

Your issue is that and not Parker playing much the 2nd? We have ton to complain about cause , our coach is a notch better than crews, but Parker not playing is my biggest issue by a mile

    Both puzzling moves.
