Losing in the round of 32 was disappointing. But being nationally ranked in the high teens, dominating and winning the A-10 regular season, and then the A-10 tournament exceeded the expectations of most on this board. Most would also agree that Jim Crews did an excellent job this year continuing on with the system that RM had put in place, and also adding to that. The returning nucleus for next year's team are all very familiar with that system, and Jim Crews is the best coach available to get the most out of the team; anybody else is going to want to make changes. Crews already got a decent recruit in Crawford, and should land a couple more now that the interim tag is removed. We all should have high expectations for next year's team. ...it's after next season that worries me. But, after taking a team to a school record 28 wins, A-10 titles, Big Dance, etc., it is unreasonable to expect any other outcome than Jim Crews as HC moving forward.

Crews is the best guy to perpetuate the Majerus program which is ingrained in McCall, Jett, Loe, Evans, and to a lesser extent, Glaze and Manning. That's basically what he did this season, although he did spice up the offense a bit. Even if he doesn't want the job, he should be convinced to stay another year. Remove the interim tag, and he will get another two decent recruits to go with Crawford.

When I was watching the Crawford kid; he reminded me a lot of Joey Chitwwod. Interestingly enough, I heard Crews was going to use the Picket Fence much more liberally in next year's offense.

I'd say LaSalle is NIT bound.
