I'm with you. I just don't see why people care so much about how I feel about the final few games of the season. Me getting a Twitter message from a poster on this board telling me that my kids look like "retards" so they must get it from me since I don't even "support SLU" and that maybe they "should f.u.ck up my life" for my posts yesterday seems like people care a little too much about me wanting the season to end. I have no problem with those wanting to support the team and coaches until the very end. That's probably the best approach. But I simply don't. I'm ready to put a dying dog to rest. But it's fine. There are still posters on this board who think it was just a down or unlucky year. There are posters who think we are close to turning a corner. Those posters need to stop messaging me on Twitter. First of all you're wrong. Second of all it's not personal.

I will support my team however I see fit. I don't need anyone on here lecturing me how to be a fan. But since I received some borderline threats (some privately) I will refrain from posting about how badly I want Duquesne to win tomorrow.

People really care about my opinion.

It feels like a situation where May will come up with any excuse possible to continue to delay it. I actually don't know if it'll be a Crews situation where it's announced quickly. But despite all the lessons I've gotten on how to be a fan, I truly believe moving on asap is the best approach for the program which means losing asap. Am I going to be sitting in front of my TV clapping after Rhode Island baskets? Of course not. If Hargrove goes for 12 points in the final 30 seconds to secure a win I'm not gonna be pissed. But if URI is up 12 with 10 seconds left you may hear me counting down the timer in joyful celebration

I want what's best for the program. Plain and simple.
