I don't know anything about the rules but it is possible that Drew could appeal to the NCAA for immediate eligibility at a new school. He could say he went to SLU for Majerus and that it never really worked out.

One thing I will say about Drew is that from what I heard, he was a freak athlete but he was one of (if not the worst) ball handler on the team. That doesn't fit well for a player at his position especially since he doesn't seem like he can score in the post like Dwayne.

Don't think its a coincidence that Abell finished up his visit last night and then this morning it is announced that Drew is transferring. Abell and Onwuasor will commit if I had to guess.

Basically what I'm saying is that he's a huge fan and if the Cardinals lose tonight, our chances of signing him go way down.

Remy is from Louisville and went to school at Indiana so if he is a baseball fan, he very well could be a Cardinals fan.

Also to add something on Abell. He is a 6'4 point guard and hes gotten decent minutes at a top 10 team. I think he'd be a huge get for SLU.

Abell is the ideal fit for the last scholarship in my opinion. Evens out the classes a bit. He's a point guard and could probably be able to be counted on to come in and contribute from day 1 after McCall and Jett graduate

One reason why a transfer might be best for the last spot is that we already have 4 freshmen in this class (Drew, Crawford, Agbeko, Lancona) Maybe it would be nice to have a guy who has 2 years of eligibility left. So he would sit out this season and then be a Junior with McBroom in 2014-2015. Then this class would only be 4 players and McBroom's class would be 2 players. Grandy and Manning would also be 2. Graduating 5 this coming season so it would be nice to somewhat even out the classes. We've also offered Darius Austin from Cahokia according to Rivals. Not sure where he'll be playing next year though
