  1. Yes it is, and you are rife with it… along with all your other accounts (DOC, billikenbill, assuming I’m forgetting others). Not sure how you keep them straight
  2. TJH and Gibby maybe the last great 4/5 year Billikens. Happy for them and the fans. Felt good to finally have fun at a game again.
  3. Thankfully, none of us had anything better to do tonight. Fire this clown tonight.
  4. Death, Taxes, and Travis Ford blowing double digit second half leads…
  5. I don’t think even Ford would stoop so low as to force a player to risk a year of eligibility if the player didn’t want to take that chance. then again, desperate times…
  6. Pulling the “excuse” card whilst arguing in defense of the biggest excuse maker this city has seen this century was just too big of a tell.
  7. Please tell me this is a bit? This has to be a character right? I’ll admit, it’s almost funny, I kind of laughed.
  8. Someone get on Twitter and tell this bum to stop being so negative towards the program. Where does he get his jollies, by publicly embarrassing the program? We don’t want to read it in every tweet.
  9. If you’ve ever called for Ford to be fired that apparently = you want SLU to lose. That’s how far this board has devolved into factions. With that said, this team needs a whole lot more than a healthy Parker and eligible Ezewiro to have a snowball’s chance in hell at doing anything this season.
  10. This is an incredibly refreshing display of accountability from Armstrong, a man who brought our city a Cup in 2019. Total contrast to the constant excuses we have heard from May, Ford, Marmol, Mozeliak, DeWitt. I can’t see any of those five ever admitting they feel personally responsible for a speeding ticket, let alone the state of their program/organization.
  11. Surely you can see that your point applies to the other side too, though? I acknowledge that certain fans want to be positive about the team at all times, even if they are not happy with the results. I even respect it, and I can see how the frequent negativity directed mainly at Ford and May would get tiresome. But on the other side of the coin, those of us who have frequently been “negative” are mainly doing so not because we think we aren’t being heard, but because it is critically important for the program’s decision makers to continually understand the fans’ displeasure. SLU fans don’t boo at the games. This is our outlet to say “We are not okay with where this program is headed and we demand change.” I think we all know that important people read this board. I understand that players probably do too (which is why I try, even if I sometimes fail, to keep the criticism to Ford and May). We don’t think that nobody is hearing us, or that those who don’t complain are happy with the direction of the program. And we certainly do have better things to do (@ Travis). But we are not willing to risk radio silence on the main Billiken forum being interpreted by the decision makers as fan apathy. If they think the fans don’t care, they have no reason (or at least no urgency) to make an expensive, but necessary change. I’m personally not willing to risk that, so will continue to point out Ford and May’s inadequacies. But we do hear you.
  12. I have no inside information, just what we can see at the Arena and on social media, but it definitely seems like the Chaifetz’s are much less involved. When was the last time Rich and Ross were at their courtside seats? They used to be there for every big game, I guess the problem is we have no big games anymore.
  13. This is where I’m at. Pressure needs to be kept on May/Ford. We have seen that May will use any excuse/take any opportunity to not move on from Ford. I fear that if there isn’t continuous vocal displeasure from fans, May will think he can get by another season without firing him. We have seen what a waste this season has become. Anyone who truly cares about this program should be doing whatever they can to ensure the same doesn’t happen next season. I don’t care if it is “annoying” to a select few posters who don’t want anything negative said about anyone involved in this debacle. They’re welcome to use the ignore function, won’t hurt my feelings.
  14. Wow. It did cross my mind that MAYBE it wasn’t a buy game, but I didn’t know our reputation had fallen so far that that would even be possible, so I didn’t look it up.
  15. What is toxic/disturbed about anything I said? What’s disturbing is winning a buy game by 3, a week after losing by 40 to a local rival, and feeling secure enough in your job to start taking pot shots at fans who are “negative” about the direction of this program. No one is “attacking” any “kids”. It is acceptable to discuss the performance of grown men who are being paid to play Division 1 basketball. The whole “kids” thing went out the window with NIL. You can thank the NCAA for that. With that said, majority of “haters”, myself included, place the blame for the state of this program squarely at the feet of Ford and May. I have no problem with any of the players, they’re doing their best I’m sure. Nice of you to pop up after beating Hofstra by 3 though. Must’ve missed you taking your moral high ground after SIU-C last week.
  16. This is outrageous from a program’s head coach. Imagine being on the hot seat, and calling out the only people who give a rat’s a$$ about the program. If Ford is not fired at the end of this season I will not be renewing season tickets. Had been leaning that way a long time, but this makes it official. I actually DO have better things to do than waste any more time on a program giving a giant middle finger to the few left who actually care.
  17. The angry elf is up to his antics again
  18. Ford’s recruiting post-NIL is very comparable to Sodie. He was a far superior recruiter pre-NIL, which makes you wonder what he was doing to stand out that he can’t do now.
  19. I wasn’t saying that’s what he should do… just what staff might pressure him to do. Plus these kids want to play, they don’t want to sit on the bench all year. But yeah, it is probably a pointless discussion because I don’t see him being cleared for this year.
  20. Obviously they can. I’m asking if people think they would. Would be a bad look to drag out/deny entry to passionate fans who are protesting for change for betterment of the program.
  21. That’s insane. You could change a couple names and you’d think that was an article from this season. Every criticism of Ford that we currently have is present in that article, down to the team having one (serviceable) big man.
  22. I’m not letting myself get emotionally attached to any one player on this roster, because entire roster turnover might be the cost of replacing Ford (worth it IMO). But I do think Curcic, Medley, Thames, Zhang, and even SVB could develop nicely under a coach who does that sort of thing (you know, player development). With that said, a new coach could bring in an entirely new roster that is miles better than our current one in one offseason. We’ve already seen it from multiple opposing teams this season. THROW THE DAMN TOWEL.
