  1. Awesome. Should be a great spring and there needs to definitely be a marketing/pr strategy to get busloads of kids to the MU game @ Busch. There's no excuse not to have more Billiken Blue than Tiger Poo when our campus is less than 3 miles from InBevField @ Busch Stadium.
  2. This was taken at a press conference hosted by Saint Louis University and not photoshopped. You'd have to be a real pro to photoshop shadow. You are wrong.
  3. Bush surrounded himself with good people whom he thought to be ethical. Obviously, some of those calls backfired. Obama has no clue what he's doing, so he's going out and corralling all the old Clintonians back to the District. What change? Liar.
  4. Is it ethical to bailout the UAW for supporting your campaign? No.
  5. Pistol, the two frauds were at SLU for, according to the AP report, before the Base Realignment and Closure commission during their hearings at Saint Louis University, St. Louis. Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich wanted President-elect Barack Obama "to put something together…something big" in exchange for going along with Obama's choice to fill his vacant US Senate seat, according to an FBI affidavit unsealed following the Governor's stunning arrest. Collapse (James A. Finley/AP)

  7. Go get 'em, Jimbo. Next year, we go Old Yeller on the Salukis.
  8. Sean Kelly needs to get his act back together.
  9. Washington (IL) High School has another outstanding guard to pay attention to if you're up central Illinois' way over the holidays. I remember spending a week there one night, as the old saying goes. I'll get back to you on the name of the player, but he's a good one. EDIT: Dyricus Simms-Edwards is the Washington player. Has a chance to be one of the better central IL prospects.
  10. Varner for sure, but what about Tom Frericks? If he had stayed healthy, he would have been a big interior presence for us 2004-2005, with a young Ian Voyoukas.
  11. Per the President of Blue Crew: Dear Blue Crew, I regret to inform you that there was a problem with the Email due to SLU changing our account to Google Apps. Because of this problem I was not able to get preparations completed in time. This means that we will NOT be going. Rest assured that the problem has been fixed and I am aware of what needs to be done from here on out. Thank you all who wanted to go sorry that we had this problem. Hope that you all get through this week and I will see you all on Saturday against Savannah State at 7:00. Your President, Ben Hendrix Please send any questions to [email protected]. Same old song and dance, to paraphrase the Bad Boys from Boston (that would be Aerosmith, for all you blue hair people). Good work, Blue Crew.
  12. Totally agree with you, Pistol. Look at Rhianna. She was almost booed off the stage at SLU when she came because erbody in the crowd was like "Damn, Shaniqua, that's how you sing? Girl's gotta be trippin." She has no talent and she isn't even that attractive for a black woman. Give me Darius Rucker's mom over Rhianna any day of the week. ya hurr.
  13. I actually stand by my comments because I'm a classmate of Lisch's and have been here for the entire Lisch-Liddell era. Lisch, for all that he has sacrificed -- emotionally, physically and mentally -- to this program should have his number lifted to the rafters of Chaifetz Arena. We will never see a warrior like Kevin Lisch again in a Billiken uniform. He is a player ANY college coach would want -- maybe not talent wise -- but by sheer desire and heart. His intangibles and coachability are worthy of 5-star Scout.com status. You'll have to get this kid off the court in a stretcher if you want to take him out of the game. Go ahead and type in the same for Liddell. You can't.
  14. I think his contributions to SLU have been on-par, but nothing to retire his jersey about.
  15. I'm praying that if and when Dr. Dre comes back he does Chaifetz first on his "On Compton" tour.
  16. Lisch, yes. Liddell, no. I think, hypothetically, when Liddell didn't qualify, had to go to prep school and then was allegedly recruited by Lon Kreuger and UNLV, Majerus would have cut the strings. [edited] The palm-balls, the mental mistakes killed us yesterday. My Dad, who was watching the game with me at an area Buffalo Wild Wings asked me repeatedly why he even plays Liddell. The way Majerus swoons over Lisch makes me believe he would have put on a Nebraska-esque full-court press for Lisch's services. Lisch is exactly the type of player Majerus wants to recruit and mold into a player who gives 110% on the court, is a leader and makes everyone around him play better. I bet Majerus told Reuben a thousand times to "watch Kevin." Cotto had a good game yesterday, so maybe that is paying off. We definitely know our strengths and weaknesses following the UNL game. Let's hope we can Rock Detroit.
