No one comes out of a situation like that not looking like a piece of trash, including the fans in Blue.
-
Also the SLU fans who were yelling “Russia” at Shulga can go F themselves as well.

Yes not to be a downer but reading the tea leaves it sure sounds like Thames could be done for the year if not more. During the postgame coach, while praising Warlick, Pikaar, and McCottry, said something to the effect of ‘this is who we have the rest of the way’.

Half the sheriff's office was here tonight but they're probably standing in the middle of Compton right now wondering why the traffic hasn't picked up yet.
-
Garbage from them and from any SLU fans who participated.
-
I sincerely hope that's not Phil Russell's family mixing it up with Bills fans in the stands.

It’s a business school, the business of ‘christianity’.

New President of Saint Louis University: Edward J. Feser
ARon replied to SluSignGuy's topic in Billikens.com Main Board
City planning and economic development background. Provost of a university with >5x the research expenditures (and therefore research funding) of SLU. A lot to like. -

Exactly, their bid isn't even formally launched yet. We're nowhere close to something like that happening.

Pikaar hasn't been a defensive liability which is about all you can ever really ask of a freshman big.

I'm frustrated by the notion coming from coach or those here that injuries the primary reason we're seeing what we are seeing. No question that isn't helping the situation at all. But I don't really think things would look much different with everyone healthy. There is just so much more the team needs to do to gel and learn the system.
-
As of last night at least, Stu reported there was no new injury for AM and his lack of minutes in the second half was a coach's decision.
-
Completely agree. Ford had plenty of games where his team came out clearly not ready or willing to play or compete. That being said, seeing that twice in the first five games under CJS isn't great either. Best to watch the team grow into what will hopefully be a competitive team next year. I don't want to give up on this year already. But I also can't think of any examples of defense this poor getting worked out mid-season.
-
No more first to 60 games for us. New era, no deficit is too small to feel like we are out of it, no lead is ever safe.
-
Garbage defense against a sub 250 offense.
-
Seeing that CJS is now saying the team has limitations on offense that he doesn’t believe he can fix with this personnel. And that the team will have to build an identity on defense. But anyone with eyes can see this is not a good defensive team and not in a way that can be fixed with pep talks and a few practices. I’m resigning myself to the idea that this will be at best another middling, non-postseason year. Pretty disappointing given the hype around this squad. And while transfers can make anything possible, it’s hard to imagine this team without Swope and Jimerson next season suddenly being a better shooting teammate.
-
That may be something to say today, but barring injury he’ll finish with at least 164. Definitely asterisk territory.

Hype is hype but we have a ways to go before this team earns big crowds, especially against NAIA schools.

Not exactly non-contact but close.
