When Goodwin, Collins, even Perkins decide they are going to try and make something happen even when the defense has them dead to rights.

Unfortunately, when it comes to not denying the three, that just seems to be who Ford is and I can’t imagine it ever changing.

Not too worried about this game yet but starting to see clearly our two biggest weaknesses this year. Hero-ball on offense. Ford’s tendency to not emphasize denying the outside shots on defense.

Specific to NC State - why would you press us when your team hasn’t played and has hardly practiced in two weeks and you are only playing 7 guys? That’s what their fans are dumbfounded by right now.

+1 This year’s team is deeper and more talented yes. But the 2011-2012 squad was a better team and I think their defense would feast on this year’s team when guys get into hero ball mode. As you say, maybe by the end of the year we think differently.
