It's been a long time since I've been on here. I didn't get to see a single SLU basketball game after Brett left until Kyle and Brian's senior night against Xavier. I was so proud of those two guys. Then I found out yesterday that coach Majerus had died. I hadn't paid attention to slu this year so I didn't even know he was sick. I was devistated. I had only met the man 3 or 4 times, but I thoroughly enjoyed every second. I enjoyed every post game interview he gave. He was a joy. He may have been crass in the way he handled trying to motivate kids, but he truly cared. He wil be missed.

Never have. Always said he was a very good coach. The one major flaw he has is his social ineptitude. Everyone can agree with that. I'm also pretty sure it's ok to not like a man for being a dick head. Good coach smart man but an ass. Everyone knows that and that's ok for some people. You over sensitive saint louisans hahaha. Oh no someone doesn't like our coach boohoo

Again you have no clue about that situation either so saying things that aren't true make you look like a dumb ass. And when did I criticize the coach...read much?

People who post things before they even know anything about the situation really are not ver smart in my own opinion. They make themselves look quite stupid.

you forget that not very long ago it was the mvc that had 4 or 5 bids with the a 10 maybe getting 2...these two conferences are about equal in my opinion

for 100% fact...why is it the refs always seem to have a big influence on the games at the fetz?

Anybody have any idea if theres any kind of website that would list kids who will be leaving their school this semester preferably D1?

lol yeah if he would have stayed hed be playing now...as it is hes not eligible because he got some bad info from the jr college he went to over the summer. he can play the first week of dec though

nothing much just going to lindenwood and trying to help sodie out with the team as a student assistant...were not doing too bad 3-2 so far.

god you guys like to turn ppls words on them...im 4 yrs older than brett...there r ppl who go to nba and overseas to play ball who dont play d1...scottie pippen played at an naia school central arkansas i think...also by talking to the proper ppl brett is 100% positive if he wants after a yr he can go back to d1 and not sit out a yr...i think thats all i have for now...oh hes a 7 ft tall skilled big man

lindenwood is also going through the process of moving up to the ncaa. Either D1 or D2. Dont know much about football conferences but is there still D IAA? Like the SIUs and Delawares of the world. They have a very nice campus and are constantly building on...its a school on the rise. Not saying its going to be a big time program...well ever but theyre heading in the right direction it looks like. To all the haters who have been posting, it makes no sense, well at least not to me, why anyone would get on the internet and talk ###### about 19 yr old basketball players and their families...after Brett graduates no matter what he does, be it play in the NBA or in Europe or getting a job with the Bulls, Bob Love LOVES Brett and has been helping him out for a few yrs, hell be making much more money then you and will have no time to get on message boards to talk ###### about 19 yr old players and their families.

I really dont care about what is said about my brother on here as long as it isnt mean spirited. He didnt want to play at SLU anymore. He wasnt happy so he moved on. Hes playing somewhere were if he wants to go back to D1 he can...whats wrong with that. On the other hand its a dick move of you to take a stab at me. Your post makes no sense. I think RM is a very good coach. I dont agree with some of the things he does but that doesnt make him a bad coach. Hes set in his ways on how he coachs and he wont change. All Im saying is A There are some kids you cant pound negatively all the time or you drive them away and B if youre going to treat some players like ###### maybe you should treat everyone the same. Some of the kids get free passes on that team

because he wasnt 100%...he had all the big schools after him as well but SLU was #1...RM just got him over the hump completely...look how that worked out lol

Here it is guys, what Ive gotten from the little he told me its not being called slow and fat that bothered him but the way he was told and how often. Theres a big difference being told you need to lose weight and get faster and every day all day being told your a slow fat f****** peice of ######. It got in his head and he started to believe he wasnt good enough to be there. He was treated much more poorly then some of the other players on the team. To me thats not how you treat people, especially a kid you want to play basketball for you. Im speaking from experience. I loved basketball with all my heart but I didnt love my coach shitting all over me every day and my teammates making fun of me. Yeah I was the second leading scorer on the team as a soph but who cares. So when basketball was no longer fun I quit. No one can know exactly whats going through his mind except him. All i know is he went from the biggest basketball freak to not wanting to play much. He went from being so confident in himself to one of the meekest 7 footers Ive ever seen. He was scared on the floor and you all know that. When you get it pounded into your head youre not good enough you start to believe it.
