  1. Ricks Facebook status tonight! I believe he is on it! Rick Majerus has been reading the SLU message boards and your complaints and concerns will be addressed and dealt with. The Chaifetz Arena is the home of the Billikens, not an opposing team. Even BYU students had some respect for the Utes back in the day.
  2. It seems they are running a similar promotion for tomorrow's game. However the ad doesn't openly say that the college/high school students will be able to sit in the SLU Student Section. I think if we see this starting to happen again, everyone should get up and move over to the student section! We will not let the opposing team take over Billiken territory again!
  3. It's SLU's fault for alllowing that. The game promotion was : Men's Basketball vs. Missouri State - Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. *All high school and college students who have a valid school ID can receive a $10 ticket and sit in the SLU student section *All SLU students can show their SLU ID and receive a $5 ticket Of course they are going to buy the cheap ticket and sit in the SLU section.
  4. I agree, the Student Section was a complete let down! But the SLU Athletic Dept. should take some blame for this one! This was the promotion going on for the night: Men's Basketball vs. Missouri State - Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. *All high school and college students who have a valid school ID can receive a $10 ticket and sit in the SLU student section *All SLU students can show their SLU ID and receive a $5 ticket Notice it says they can sit in the " SLU student section"! How stupid is that? I was hoping that Billiken Fans would get on their phones and text some friends and let them know that there was a Billiken "take-over" in the process and an army of students would show up to support the home team. But of course that would never happen. SLU students, you should be ashamed!
  5. I didn't hear this, but my Daughter did. She said when they announced Kevin Dillard's name, they said he was from Alton. I know he graduated from some STL area high school, but it definitely wasn't Alton. I thought they always considered the school/place were you graduated at your "home Town" NOT where your Daddy's girlfriend is from.
  6. I think it's kind of early for a list. I would think anyone who was planning on leaving a program, probably hasn't officially told anyone yet. I know if I were a basketball player planning on leaving a program and there were a few weeks left in the semester and I still wanted to play and be treated fairly, I certainly wouldn't make that information public. There is a list published of transfers in Januaary, I can't remember the site. Search NCAA transfer list.
  7. Because of the venue, it was hard to gauge the turnout. Also the bar was open to the public. The girls exceeded their goal!
  8. Thank You Nate for helping to get the word out about the fundraiser tonight! Also Thank You to Bill_Ken R for buying a ticket from me and for supporting the team and everyone else who my have bought tickets.

  10. Should read, he is now playing in PR.
  11. You guys are reading too much into this link..It says he's playing ball in PR. It doesn't say he's going to school or playing Pro ball. Street ball and pick up games are the more likely scenario here. There is NO evidence it's anything more than that.
  12. I have been to many events at SLU and I have seen more than my fair share of drunk underclassmen-especially at Soccer and Basketball games. I think underage drinking is a bigger problem than SLU realizes, as many of the RA's and dorm personnel that my kids have encountered, tend to turn their cheeks the other way when it comes to drinking. It is also far too easy for them to enter and drink at the local hangouts. I don't think making the campus "dry" would help. I think that they would only loose students, which is a sad testament to today's society!
  13. Terrible and tragic story! My Daughter lived in those apartments and the balcony and sliding glass doors were located in the common area, NOT the bedrooms! Sounds a bit strange to me, but maybe some of the units are set up different!

  15. My daughter texted me to tell me there was just about as many people there than some of the basketball games from last year! I didn't believe her! Hopefully the excitement will carry over to Basketball season! Go Bills!
  16. My daughter travels to SLU during the summer for training and practice 1-2 times a week as do many other student athletes who live locally. She has always been allowed to park in the Chaifetz Parking Lot, unless there was somethng going on at the arena. She always rings the bell at the gate, states her name and her purpose and has been allowed entry into the lot with no problem. Last ngiht she was told that she couldn't park there anymore and that they would be towing cars tonight for illegal parking. She went and parked her car elsewhere and didn't give it a second thought. After practice, she was walking out with several team members and when her teammate got to the lot, her car was gone! She had apparently been give permission to enter the lot, as that is the only way to get in and then they towed her car! This is ridiculous! The girl was told she could retreive her car from a SLU parking lot down the road and that they would just add the ticket and towning fee to her account! Apparently some of the trainers have also had their cars towed and the Athletic Dept. reimburses them if it happens. What would be so hard about give the Athletes, Trainers, etc.. summer parking priviliges? The lot is empty and I just don't understand what the big deal is about them parking on it when they are there to use the facilities and the lot isn't being used.
  17. If he doesn't graduate, then that counts against SLU and the way they/ NCAA track the scholarship students. It is in the best interest of both parties for him to finish his coursework. It's a win/in situation! It is also my understanding that Kevin is working on a European deal, possibly in France.
  18. I beleive Tommy is Criminal Justice and Kevin just finished his Masters in Business.
  19. I would have to agree with your comments!
  20. My understanding is that Tommie RETURNED to school.
  21. Perhaps he came back after an extended break and when school started again after the Easter break, which would have been yesterday. perhaps my source just didn't know yet that he had returned after the break, but this parent would definately be in the know that he hadn't been attending school. When I asked it the rumor was true out Tommie quitting school, the answer was yes, and that SLU was workng hard to get him to return and finish his degree. I hope he did!
  22. My source, who told me yesterday and who is a Parent of one of the BB payers who is extremely close to the situation, said that he did drop out out but that SLU is trying to get him to come back.
