  1. No reason they couldn't play together. It would allow Kwamain to work off the ball some which may benefit him. The idea that you have to fit every player neatly into a 1,2,3,4,5 starting position is pretty much in the past in college basketball. A lot of teams start 3 guards and some start 4.
  2. Calling people who agreed with the article Rick haters? That's not name calling. LOL with that.
  3. Roy is correct. Kem Pomeroy has a stat for Tempo/Pace and SLU has been one of the slowest teams in the country under Majerus ranking 333 in 2008 and 328 in 2009. Soderberg's last team was ranked 264.
  4. So you start your post by decrying name calling and then end it by saying "rick haters love the article". LMAO.
  5. There is alot of truth in that article. No question Liddell especially went backwards under Majerus. And the team likely after next year will still not be back to the level it was in Soderburg's last year. A million a year is a lot of money for those kind of results.
  6. He did not committ to Alford. You are wrong.
  7. He did not committ to a coachless Iowa program. He waited to see who was hired and if that coach was still interested in him. He did not commit to Iowa until after Lickliter was hired.
  8. He did not commit to Alford. He commited to Lickliter after he was hired at Iowa. Continuing to beat up on Brad for not getting a kid who went to the Big Ten is pretty silly by the way.
  9. He was pretty close to leading the Big Ten in assists when he got hurt at around 5 a game. If Majerus isn't pursuing Peterson he is asleep at the wheel.
  10. The only school I have heard are Missouri St and Virginia Tech. If Majerus has a scholarship available he should pursue this kid. He is going to be very good after sitting out a year.
  11. Interesting. Might be a good spot for Soderburg to go as an Assistant.
  12. This is correct. Monson was only at Gonzaga 2 years and inherited a good program from Dan Fitzgerald.
  13. It's turning into a very rough transition for Todd Lickliter. Jake Kelly's Mom died this offseason and so he is going home to be closer to his family. The other guys that are leaving, and there are rumored to be two other guys in addition to Kelly and Peterson, are not very enamored with Lickliter's coaching style or style of play. The big losses are Kelly and Peterson though. Both of those kids were good Big Ten players.
  14. Kelly is transferring to Indiana State.
  15. If Peterson were available and interested in SLU Majerus would be an idiot to not pursue him.
  16. I have no idea if this is it but there are rumors that Jeff Peterson a former SLU recruit is going to transfer from Iowa.
  17. That is a shocker. Will 3 A-10 teams make the tournament? Could Dayton get bounced?
  18. If you think Northern Iowa and Illinois State would be weaker links you know nothing about the Valley.
  19. I think as Roy said above the Aussies could definitely be a wild card. It will be very interesting to see what they do next year. Damn that's a long time off though.
  20. Now who is banking on recruiting ratings? Until these kids get on the court I'm not ready to say SLU is going to make a jump over all the teams ahead of them. Based on what I see on the court SLU will be outmanned next year and is not going to be as good as they were this year. The year after that who knows but SLU has a long way to go from here.
  21. I agree with you Moytoy about recruiting rankings being overrated. But if you look at this board you will see a lot of people banking the future on highly rated recruiting classes. My point is that SLU's recruiting doesn't occur in a vacuum other teams are recruiting well also. Teams that are more importantly beating the Bills on the court and have more players returning next year. So the optimism on this board, is in my opinion, a little delusional. Hopefully I am wrong.
  22. Rivals does not rank this SLU recruiting class very high even in the A-10. Several players are not even rated and the ones that are(Jeff Reid and Jonathan Smith) are not highly rated. Reid would be SLU's highest ranked recruit but he would not even be top 5 in the league.
  23. Sure because of quantity of recruits it will be ranked among the best. But what about quality? If you use ESPN's rankings there will be 8 players coming into the A-10 that are ranked higher than any Bills recruit. So other teams that are better than the Bills now and have more experienced quality players returning will be getting some high level recruits also. So the idea that the Bills talent level is going to pass up other teams the next 2 years is pretty dubious based on players returning and coming in.
