  1. Fisch was really good at controlling the game. We could use a player like that this year.
  2. I think Tommie has the ability to carry this team. He just doesn't have the experience necessary to do it. He is a special player and I look forward to his senior season which I think could be Marquee Perry-esk or better.
  3. Richmond came back to win 71-66. Other scores around the A-10 St. Joes beats Temple 80-76 La Salle beats Duquesne 79-63 UMass leads GW with 2 mins to go 79-75
  4. Looks like Mizzou is losing 44 to 22 (?) at Texas. I don't think their crazy defensive pressure will win them any games against decent opponents especially on the road. Stephon Hannah is their only real scorer, so their half-court offense is pretty bad.
  5. Whats with all the traveling calls on the Billikens? It seems like there have been a ton the past few games, maybe its just that I notice it more listening on radio. Or maybe its a confidence thing with the Bills.
  6. moytoy, sorry I hastily rated you based on a couple of silly posts. You are obviously a great fan if you are following the game so closely. GO BILLS.
  7. Yeah. Diener was a good shooter, but never too great of an overall player. I could see Dustin McGuire ending up being a Diener type player maybe, eventhough I don't have much to base it on.
  8. St. Bonaventure is ahead of Richmond 51-49. Come on Bonnies. Make us look slightly better.
  9. sounds like just he missed his first two. I hope he doesn't lose his confidence. Come on kid.
  10. Romar also left Chris Sloan, Diener, and Josh Fischer among others. Not a totally bare cupborad, but there were not many underclassmen that were still around when Romar left. Darren Clarke was in the class with IV, but transfered. JJ reshirted so he was actually in the Drejaj, Izik class of recruits. Bryce was a redshirt so he was with IV's recruiting class. Tommie was recruited with DP, DM, and Luke, but went to prep school then signed again. Ikeakor was also a redshirt so he was with Lisch and Tommie's recruting class.
  11. I completely agree. You go to the games to cheer on your team, not to try to get your teams coach fired or make fun of the players on your team who aren't good. It is a shame that because some yahoo makes a sign or a website, it overshadows the real fans who just want the team to win.
  12. I'm sorry I posted this eventhough it was mostly-joking (as you can see by the not worrying about the Bonnies comment). It was before the horrid loss to the Dukes. Obviously SLU isn't in any position to say who should stay or who should go. I was just speculation on ways to raise the overall conference RPI. I am not a fan of Rhode Island and I was not aware of their basketball history. I just looked at the teams with the lowest RPIs in the conference. Again, I am sorry.
  13. SAINT LOUIS The Billikens have the top RPI in the Atlantic 10. That doesn't figure to improve when they begin league play at No. 330 St. Bonaventure. Best win (RPI): Missouri State (No. 34) Worst loss (RPI): @Texas A&M (No. 65) Its not updated obviously.
  14. Wow this thread turned into a mess. Back to what Footes brought up in the first place. Yes, I think C-USA is just as good as the A-10 right now and staying put might have been better for SLU. I have thought about it before. Also C-USA (like the A-10) is probably better long term than the MVC. SLU would have been playing familiar teams like Memphis, UAB, and Houston instead of being beaten up on by the likes of St. Bonaventure and Duquesne. But, in the end SLU made their bed and they have to lie in it. Hopefully the A-10 will improve and in a couple of years we will have rivalries within the A-10. More importantly, hopefully we win another game this year. Also, I sometimes wonder what SLU basketball would be like now if the mocking questions Almunifan asked had different answers. Larry Hughes could have almost single handedly made SLU a top 25 team if he had stayed 4 years. Had Romar not left we would have had Ryan Hollins and the state of the program would be much better than it is now. In the end all you can do it dream about it though and then you have to come back to reality and remember you are a SLU fan and it is tough sometimes (ok a lot of times). All we can do is hope things break differently for us in the future. Maybe/hopefully the new arena is one of those things. I'm going to stop rambling now.
  15. Really? I thought it took more than that. Still seems pathetic that this guy would waste 20 minutes on a blog about firing Brad. I highly doubt the SLU administration is going to take advice from some dude's blog.
  16. Way to take quote out of context. I did not miss the last 2 games. I listen to the Bonnies debacle on radio and I was at the horrid loss to the Dukes. I just think its dumb that someone has so much time on their hands they can start a blog about firing the men's basketball coach of a small midwest Jesuit university. It would have be nice if whoever this person is that has so much time on their hands would have started a blog about the Billikens in general instead of one just bashing their coach. Hell I wouldn't even care if in the Billikens blog he bashed Brad and called for him to be fired as long as he reported info about the team as well.
  17. I'm glad that no one will spend the time and energy to create a decent Billikens blog that gives us info and analysis on the team, but some idiot out there started this. Seriously, I'm pretty down on Brad after watching last night's game, but I think starting a blog about firing him is uncalled for. I wish people would try to stay positive about the team and do positive things to keep people more informed about SLU bball instead of just bashing the coach.
  18. Well their goal was to make the tournament and that looks like the only way they will get there at this point. I say if Brad doesn't reach the goal he gets canned. A lot of people were calling for TLR's head before the Cardinals won the World Series.
  19. I voted the first option b/c i thought it was the best fit for my thoughts at the time, but now i think i'd change it to dump Brad after the year is over (assuming there is not miracle A-10 tourny run which looks highly unlikely at this point).
  20. I was in the "wait and see" group after the Bonnies loss and tried to remind everyone that it was just one game and on the road, etc. Well now it has been two games, against 2 bad teams, and one was at home. I was there for this one and I now think that a coaching change might be necessary. Brad was out coached tonight and it is pathetic how our guys can't handle pressure defense. On a side note, I think tonight might have been the worst officiated game I have every been to. The refs were awful. Too bad the Bills play was even worse.
  21. i say thank him for the improvements in the email, but ask for more. While the post coverage has improved it certainly isn't where it should be.
  22. I know many people will disagree, but with his enthusiaism for looking at area prospects VTIME could be the assistant coach who is the main recruiter. I agree with Roy as AD although he could also be the head coach.
