Recruit (1/7)

  1. Why would I leave? I am still am SLU fan and a supporter of all area players who stay close (i.e. Slu) or those who go away. Heard from Lance that Blacklegde committed to Marquette today. I guess he will join that long list of players that could not play for SLU from SWIC. And as far as having no clue...I have read your posts and maybe you should look in the mirror and really question how much you really know!
  2. Was he advised to wait? Maybe you have to have an offer before you can take it?
  3. I agree with you on point 1. Point 2 I agree alittle. Correct me if I am wrong but when BS watched him had he played about 10-15 games by then. Wasn't he having a great season or atleast a great start? Was that not merrit enough for more consideration? I may be wrong but it is my opinion, for what ever that matters, that if you are the head coach you should know what fits your program and what does not. What you need and what you don't need, and who can play for you and who can't. Is that not why he gets paid so much money? How long should it take to figure this out? I have read your previous post and you seem to know alot about SWIC, JUCO and other recruiting situations: So I ask...Did it take SWIC's assistant or head coach long to want Stemler back from Bradley after the things he did there or did they have to think and evaluate him? On point 3 I also agree.
  4. How can you say that? He was dreaming of suiting up in Billiken Blue, they waited Marquette Gold and Blue came in and his dream expanded and stole away SLU's thunder. If SLU offers earlier he verbals and he does not seem like someone who would go back on his word, and the rest would be history. Then we can have a chance to dance.
  5. I would agree. If those things happen then we would be talking about him signing at SLU and not Indiana.
  6. No according to lance on the kevin slaten show he said that the new indiana assistant Rob Senderhoff was the 1st coach to recruit him this year when he was at Kent State. When he got the job and found out Indiana's needs he thought of Lance. He must of had on hell of a relationship with him to get this done.
  7. I am on your side as well. Take off the blinders slu faithful.
  8. Great idea, I wish you could walk into her office and get this done. It is amazing how we can figure this out and a staff that is getting paid for this can't. We talk about SLU like its Harvard at times for getting kids in maybe we ought to look at the staffs academic ability. (Ha,Ha for everyone that doesn't know I'm joking)
  9. Not always true. Get in and get them before they can get there. The longer you wait the harder it is.
  10. Very True!!! Someone please send a message to Coach S. and his staff and let them know they should start recruiting for next year now. I don't think they understand that.
  11. Don't forget the little guard from Alton Keyon Lacey.
  12. Make it known. I think when a kid is coming to your game any chance he gets...how much more known do you have to make it?
  13. SLU could have had him in january if "THEY" would have committed. End of story.
  14. I agree with you about LS. Nobody would have known about him because he had not proven himself, but what about when he did. My point all along with LS is that here is a player who can really fill a void in our program and we loss him to Indiana. If people truely think he would have been a fourth option here they may be right but I don't see why Indiana or Marquette would sign SLU's fourth option. I have spoken with Lance alot about his recruitment and this was a kid who did want to come to SLU early on, but like I said earlier, the longer it took the bigger the programs came along. If he didn't want to go to SLU then why did he go to SLU's games this year and basically throw himself at them early in SLU's season. For all you insiders out there with all you misinformation, Lance said one of the biggest things that turned him off with SLU was when Coach S. told him that he was making a visit to watch him play and if he liked what he saw he would " pull the trigger and not waste any time." Well a month later and 5-6 more visits they offer. To late to many big programs by now Brad!
  15. I agree he is a good game coach, it would be scary to see what he could do with better players.
