I think these two posts are spot on. Attention to detail, which requires discipline and practice, discipline and practice, discipline and practice, seems to be lacking. Not sure about AY, but MY does not seem disciplined and maybe he is chafing under a system that requires more discipline. Now, to be fair, it may also be that Crews just doesn't have the disciplined, almost Asperger's like focus that Majerus had (and not many do have). Execution is just not crisp out there and if the "good kids" buy in and try, but the "bad kids" do not, that is going to make for A) divisions on the team as I mentioned in another post and B. a coaching nightmare.

I think MB shows a lot of promise too. AG will take time, but I think he could still be very good.

RA will be a starter. MC could be a starter IF his defense improved. He can get to the rim. He can shoot the three. He is smart. He always plays hard. And he seems to have the right attitude.

Seriously? Not even close. Getting Tatum would be a game changer. I don't think it will happen, but definitely a game changer.

I sit almost directly behind where Crews stands during games. He may be a lot of things, but disengaged is not one that comes to mind. My opinion is not that Crews has lost 'the team", but that a few players have perhaps revolted. I think that has led to divisions within the team. I think it shows during the game. Even the best coach or manager struggles under that type of situation. JC is the same coach who almost beat VCU and GW. it was shortly thereafter that things really began to go south. And this was also close to the time of the MY quotes which definitely may have alienated some of his teammates.

I think you actually just agreed with me. Slu72, who is a great fan, was talking about the two COY seasons harshly. Your assessment and mine on those two seasons are essentially the same.

That is an overly harsh assessment of the last two seasons.
