    I do not know what thread to put this in, but Brock Vice has recorded zero stats at Creighton this season.  Does anyone know if he is injured?  If not, I hope he realizes the amount of minutes he would have been getting if he had kept his commitment to SLU.

    I read he is redshirting.

    I hate to point this out, but latest NET rankings:

    North Texas - 129

    Saint Louis - 216

    SLU's NET is going to be skewed all season by the 39 point blowout loss at SIUC.

    SLU's RPI is 114.  In advance, I know the NCAA uses the NET, and no longer uses the RPI as its College Basketball metric, although the RPI is still used in other sports, such as Soccer.  But the old metric does show how badly the NET is skewed by 1 isolated outlier.  North Texas' RPI is 242.

    The Fly is open , let's go Peay.!

    Fly Williams -Austin Peay

    An oldie but a goodie

    Fly Williams is a former Spirit of St. Louis in the ABA.  What a group of characters the Spirits had, led by Marvin Barnes, Maurice Lucas and Freddie Lewis.  Even Moses Malone and Caldwell Jones were Spirits.  Growing up, I listened to young Bob Costas call the action on KMOX and simulcast on TV.  There was nothing quite like seeing the Spirits of St. Louis play on TV at a near empty Mid-South Coliseum vs. the Memphis Tams or at a near empty Scope in Norfolk, VA vs. the Virginia Squires.

    But losing by 34? That’s a beat down. I watched some of it and kept wondering why we didn’t try and bring Bennet back. St M’s is a very solid team. The A10 is not even a shadow of its former self. They were primarily EC teams that could get good players from EC high schools and AAU teams. Obviously those days are fading fast.

    Randy Bennett has stayed away from PAC-12 employment to stay at St. Mary’s in Moraga, where his son is a reserve guard on the roster.

    Santa Clara up on Oregon at the half. Let’s face it, we have neither the sustained success nor the financial resources to buy our way into the BE any time soon. Would rather be in the WCC than the A10 until Old Guy bribes Val Ackerman with a briefcase full of stamps, rare coins, and two dollar bills.

    Santa Clara (6-0) 88 Oregon 82 - Final;

    Boise State 65 VCU (3-3) 61 - Final.
