The ole, "my son is a senior in high school so I'm not going to change jobs" excuse, eh? Let's be realistic here. Gregg Marshall wasn't leaving WSU for Mizzou for the reason in bold above. Marshall has more tourney wins in his final four run than Mizzou has had in over a decade. The only way I would have seen Marshall accepting the Mizzou job is if: 1) they offered him Coach K money 2) he thought Mizzou would be a nice stepping stone to a premiere coaching position.

Agree with everything you said here. Hopefully, this will bring Mizzou's fan base back to reality. $40,000 for the search firm....honestly, and I'm not even joking, how does Mike Alden still have a job?!?!

Agree. Was it necessary to implement a search committee (cost: $40,000) and keep the whole thing under wraps just to hire a guy a few miles down the road? Not sure how reliable the source on Powermizzou is but he claims that Howland wanted the job.

And I thought the St. Louis Blues had inept management... I don't think Howland would have been a disaster at all. I guess I shouldn't bring up Anderson's age since Crews is 2 years older, but man. Curious to see what their recruits do now.

Slu Drew, I'm pretty sure CBC traveled to both Ohio and SoCal for tournaments this year and played against teams that were head and shoulders above any local competition.

And why can you not buy their current basketball shorts anywhere? I don't get it. Seems you can buy Mizzou basketball shorts...
