kwyjibo
Very timely response. In the same conference are the Tufts Jumbos (named after a P. T. Barnum's phony elephant). My wife got her MBA at Simmons College that has a pretty well known school of management--they are the Sharks!

bills16
cobden, illinois appleknockers pekin, illinois at one time was nick named the chinks. before all of the school consolidation, everly, iowa high school was nicknamed the cattlefeeders mediapolis, iowa used to be the bulls for the boys teams and the girls teams were the bullettes. one thing i've noticed here in iowa with all of the different schools now consolidating and changing their nicknames, wolverines has become very common.
