billikenmetz
Offered scholarship by Loyola Chicago...can we get the "air to the throne" to St. Louis???
thetorch
If he's not overwhelmingly good it is not worth it. He would be a major distraction. Unless of course his father sees fit to donate some of his millions to SLU then maybe we should recruit this young fella. The younger brother is supposed to be better though, but neither of them are star material at this date. remember a few years ago Houston when Clyde was the coach had a couple former stars as players. One of them was pretty good but not pro material. The good one I think was the Iceman's son and the other was a son of like Moses Malone or Elvin Hayes, or maybe Bernard King. Waltons and Barry's kids were pretty good but stars kids are usually not that great.
billikenmetz
I would gladly take some much needed Billiken media-hype...instead of backpage Sports news from the Post...who cares if he's good...it's instant marketing and $$ for SLU. Nike deal for our teams, Nike merchandise in the bookstore, it's a win-win.
Alonzo P Hawk
I whole-heartedly agree. Get the "Air" on board ASAP. ------------------------------------------------------------ *Official Billikens.com sponsor of Mike Beczkala
Pistol
Yeah, and he really is a nice player. Is Loyola really the only one that's offered him so far? I guess that's a pretty natural progression since he attends the Loyola Academy now. Is the "distraction" worth it? Absolutely- anything to generate additional publicity and fan interest for this program.
