DeSmetBilliken
Just came across it over at slubillikens.com. http://slubillikens.ocsn.com/sports/m-bask.../082903aaa.html
Quality Is Job 1
Good looking out, DeSmet. It seems reasonable, I guess, though it winds up punishing an unrelated team for a personal mistake. The NCAA has a penchant for affecting more than one party when meting punishments. Sometimes players get punished for the misdeeds of a school, coach, or booster, and sometimes schools (or teams) get punished for the misdeeds of a player. Quality Is Job 1
It's on STLtoday, so I'm sure there's no harm in posting a link to it now. Stu sent me e-mail to tell me about the story. Besides talking about Reggie Bryant's suspension, it talks about the anticipated penalty for Ian Vouyoukas. http://tinyurl.com/lne0 As said in the article, SLU didn't find out until October 22 (about a week after practice had started) just how many days Izik Ohanon would miss. I hope it doesn't take as long for us to find out how long Vouyoukas will have to sit. Well, Brad Soderberg felt he will be worth the wait.
