billiken_roy Posted January 3, 2022 Share Posted January 3, 2022 you should have given us a heads up. Darin used to pitch for one of the best semi pro leagues in the midwest for a long time. A lot of the area just out of high school players play in the Mon-Clair league and it would have been a good question to ask him if he still has contacts in that league that would bird dog young guys that might be good pickups for the billikens. plus, he might have been able to relate some stories of some very good players he pitched against or saw play. billiken_roy Posted January 3, 2022 Share Posted January 3, 2022 also, fyi Darin used to referee a lot of high school basketball in the area. he might have had some great discussion on basketball refereeing as well. i dont know if he still refs or not as due to the chinese flu virus i havent been to a high school game now in two years.
