lnolla
Hello! I'm a SLU alumni (BA 87) and avid Billiken Fan from Puerto Rico. I have quietly enjoyed reading this Board for some years now. I have been drawn join the Board and make my first post just to inform all of you fans out there that last night Kevin Lisch led his local team, the Quebradillas Pirates, to the league championship over the Ponce Lions and was named Series MVP. I had the opportunity to watch Kevin play and he was "tough as nails" as always, quickly becoming a fan favorite. His play helped his team win the championship after a 39 year drought! The local paper interviewed him and apparently he is headed to France to play in their pro-league. Proud to be a Billiken!! Will continue to follow this Board and the Billikens as they head back to the Tournament in 2014!! Go Bills!!
eskimo
Inolla, I was in Puerto Rico (where my fiancée is from) a couple weeks ago and attended one of Quebradillas' semifinal games against Guayama, who features Renaldo Balkman. It was a great atmosphere in Quebradillas and Lisch played very well...his defense was noticeably better than anyone else's on the floor and he hit some big shots. I wanted to say hello to him after the game, but players quickly left the floor after some post-game brawling.
