Schasz Posted May 13, 2004 Share Posted May 13, 2004 According to what was reported here on the Tampa TV station tonight, Jon Oliver was initially offered the AD position at USF. Apparently, he withdrew his name after backgound checks??? I guess we now know why this dragged on an extra day or two. Perhaps, Oliver isn't our ideal candidate. Lobo Posted May 13, 2004 Share Posted May 13, 2004 In reading the story it is difficult to know what accurately transpired. USF needed to land Woolard which is why he probably was offered more $. Otherwise the search process may have looked bungled. Since Woolard wasn't the overwhelming choice, he may have some difficulty winning staff support. I wish him well.
