Xavier @ La Salle

Recommended Posts

Xavier prevails 68-62. La Salle could never take the lead, though they had a couple of opportunities. The Explorers shot something like 2-23 from 3pt, though they came into the game as the best three-point shooting team in the A-10. Also, La Salle's fundamentals in handling crunch time seem poor.

i watched the game on the cbs college sports station last night. very entertaining and of course i found myself pulling for the underdog lasalle team. xu was totally in control and then just totally lost direction. started taking bad shots, not defending and giving lasalle second chances, just a total collapse.

xu was lucky to get out of there with a win. this is no where near the xu we are used to seeing. and while i never thought sean miller was anything special, it is pretty obvious this team is not as tight and well coached as the previous xu teams. i actually think the team has more talent, they just are missing cohesiveness and control imo.
