is an indication of future play.

THE SERIES HISTORY:

Nebraska and Saint Louis are nodded in a 3-3 tie all-time, with the last meeting coming during the 1990-1991 season when Nebraska defeated the Billikens 107-79 to open the season at the San Juan Shootout.

Those who enjoy patterns will appreciate the series history between the two schools, as neither team has ever won two meetings in a row (L, W, L, W, L and W for Nebraska).

Nebraska is just 8-11 all-time versus the Atlantic 10 Conference, although the Huskers did win their most recent outing with the A-10 in last seasons first round NIT Devaney Center contest against the Charlotte 49ers (67-48).

In the game, Ade Dagunduro scored 15 points while Jay-R Strowbridge put in 10, and the Huskers held 49er scoring sensation Leemire Goldwire to just 6 points on 2 of 13 shooting from the floor.

THE PROBABLE STARTING LINEUPS:

Nebraska (3-0)

PG – Sek Henry (6’3” Junior, 9.0 PPG & 4.3 RPG)

SG – Steve Harley (5’11” Senior, 10.3 PPG & 3.3 RPG)

St. Louis at Nebraska

The Billikens (2-1) go on the road for the first time this season, after knocking off an ACC team for the first time in seven years. The Huskers (3-0), picked to finish ninth in the Big 12, have held their first three opponents to 37 percent shooting from the field and 49.7 points per game. SLU's opponents are shooting 39 percent from the field and averaging 53.0 points per game.

Is this seriously all there is for the Post-Dispatch's pregame write-up today? Is it even in the paper? They didn't even spell out "Saint," the one thing Biondi asks them to do. The link was buried online under Timmerman's blog entry (very good, but not in the paper) and an article about SLU soccer.

Bonwich explained the Saint vs St thing some time ago and as I recall it made sense

Guest BillikenReport

One player to watch for Nebraska is Eshaunte Jones.

The Billikens recruited him a little bit in the spring/summer. He attended SLU's Elite Camp and was committed to Indiana a couple years ago.

There were questions about whether or not he would be eligible, but he's on the Nebraska roster and has played a little.

He's the one who went to Hargrave, right?
