slu72 fan
It is my understanding that all donations to the athletic department go through the Billiken Club (other than gifts for the building). As of a couple of weeks ago, the entire fundraising efforts of the Billiken Club this year had generated only $350,000. Which by the way, is a new record for the Club. With over 400 members, I doubt there are very many big donors, given the low level of giving.
slufanskip
I called and made a committment for an extra $57.46 if C. Martin gets the job and offered to double it if A. Bonner is brought in as an asst. Seriously, does that not seem like a great team. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H Waldman Official Sponser of the Stemmler and Ahearn could and would have helped club.

shempie
Look under at the arena website under "Leadership Giving". There is a list of people who would qualify as big donors. It is also possible that a new donor made/will make a gift contingent on a new coach.
