VTIME
One of those articles said Relphorde is expected to start next season. Is he expected to start at pf or sf? I assume which ever he plays, Luke will play the other.
Milwaukee Billiken
You have to imagine he's going to work out primarily at the 4. Brad has been quoted as saying he thinks MR can play every position but the point, and we need big guys more than more 3 or SF guys. I would guess with the need for big guys, they'd try to get MR more work at the 4. Then they can use BH at the 5 when they're running a half court set offense, AK at the 4/5, LM more often at the 3, and Mitchell as a backup 3/4. They're obviously still hoping for a JUCO 6'7-6'9 banger too. I think the last thing you can expect is that anyone will always be set at either the pf or sf spot everytime they're in the game next season. Those guys are all going to rotate more than we're used to seeing.
VTIME
Relphorde played a lot of pg at prep school last year and averaged 3.5 apg. Why does Brad think he cant play pg? I can understand why he wont with Lisch, Liddell, and Polk all having pg experience, but why say he cant?
Billikan
I spoke to Brad at the Billiken Banquet tonight and he said Relforde was strong and athletic enough to play the 2, 3 or 4 man on defense and he was skilled enouth that he could play those positions and the the 1 at times on offense. slu72 fan
His prep school coach stated that he lacked the quickness to play the point in college.
courtside
He can be a big two guard or wing/3 ..... People need to be patient with him. If he does start out of necessity, he will take many lumps most of his first season. But the experience should help him down the line. He won't be a TL/KL....as in start from the beginning and only take a half season to adjust to the next level. He'll need more time than that. SLU really hasn't adressedits point guard issue or interior issue. This would ideally give SLU someone off of the bench to be versatile to get 8-10 minutes a game his frosh year, but SLU is not in an ideal situation. Billikan
I do not think that Brad was suggesting that he would play the point but he said that he had some nice skills in the area of ballhandling and passing like a point guard. That would make him a nice addition to Tommie, Kevin and Luke in running the break.

VTIME
did he mean as a fulltime pg or playing pg for 5-10 minute intervals?
VTIME
I think he will play a little pf too.
