What is irresponsible is your lack of reading comprehension skills.

What is irresponsible is mischaracterizing what I said and a silly snarky response.

Now for some help, I used the word may because I am not sure and neither are you that cancellation and isolation will help so until the people that do know tell me otherwise I will continue to live my life that includes going to events and travel you can stay isolated and disgruntled.

Also, I said folks like me not everyone if they chose to will continue to live life as there is no outbreak.  You live the life you want and I will live mine.

I don’t get your uninformed take of my post.

Univiersities have cancelled face to face classes. States have declared emergencies. Countries have restricted travel. Cities are cancelling large gatherings. Keep on waiting on "the people that know" to say something. And please let me know!

I am not sure what the right thing to do is as far as cancellation and isolation.  With cancellation and isolation our commerce will continue to decline but may stop the rapid spread of the virus.

I choose to continue my life as if there is no outbreak and my belief is that so should the folks like myself that want to attend events and travel.

On Monday morning I had a flight out of the East terminal at Lambert and for the first time in my life there was not one person waiting in the security line.  I asked the security if it was the corona virus scare and the security said it was.

I don't get this take. You admit that cancellation and isolation "may stop the rapid spread of the virus." But then you say "I choose to continue my life as if there is no outbreak and my belief is that so should the folks like myself that want to attend events and travel."

So yes, you understand that measures can have a benefit, but oh well? I'm not quite sure what the solution is either. But to say that your belief is that everyone should continue their life as if there is no outbreak seems...silly and irresponsible?

  4. Clarifying question: when a pundit says something like "the A10 is a one bid league," do they mean that they are a one bid league IN ADDITION to the conference champion? Or are they saying they expect that conference to only place their conference champion and no other team in the NCAA tournament?

  5. I would take him. Here is why:

I am so conditioned to us having a short roster due to suspension/injury over the past few years. Therefore, I'm more willing to take this big risk. If it works out, we win big. If he messes around, suspend him and we are a scholarship player down. What's new? I think the whole Team Blue mentality is too strong to be ruined by a "bad apple." A player like Gordon wont ruin that. He will either fall in line or be outcast by the team.

Ok, so let's theoretically say that Ford likes both Lorentsson and JC big Mahorčič a lot.  So, a little poll, since SLU can and likely would want to only sign one of them ...... who do you want more and why?

Both can shoot from outside but Lorentsson is clearly better.  Mahorčič is bigger in height and overall size and strength but has some history of foot issues.  He is likely a better rebounder and defender.  Lorentsson seems to be a better ball handler and can fast break.

My opinion.  I want that sharp-shooting big.  So Lorentsson is my pick.

I want the one without the foot issues.

Bell played 10 minutes and was  0-2. Hard to blame a guy for lack of scoring when he only plays 10. He had 3 boards and an assist. Hargrove played 5.

We're 17-5 just curious wtf are you disgruntled about?

Two things are true at once.1)  I am happy that we are 17-5. 2) I would like to see some more scoring from the bottom end of our rotation, particularly from a touted 4 star recruit. He will be fine, he will develop. We are a good team regardless.

I created my account around the same time that SLU fumbled some reporting to U.S. News and World Report, thus leading to us being an unranked university for a year. Hence, I was disgruntled. I am no longer disgruntled.

To me the biggest is their fans and media that cover them.  They act like they are Kansas when a conversation about playing SLU comes up where it is some crazy idea because they are so much better.  Just recently Gabe Dearmond was asked about better program SLU vs Mizzou and compared the last decade which SLU has been better than Mizzou but he of course then says that is because Mizzou plays in a more difficult conference and Mizzou is just having a bad decade.  There were years over the past 10 the A10 was just as good if not deeper than the SEC.

HAHAHA a BAD DECADE? When you are saying "we are just having a bad decade," you know things are bad.

That’s essentially it. My dislike comes from that and the way they are looked at by the media types. The Mizzou grads at the post have historically dismissed SLU while they over cover tiger football and basketball. It’s the driving force for me to do this podcast.

Excellent podcast, BTW. Listen to it on my commute to work.

  10. I don't like Mizzou because their fans have an arrogance when they have won very little that I find annoying. Moreover,  I hope they don't do well on the court because I think it helps us in recruiting.

That being said, a player leaving them while they have a loosing record and potentially coming to us, to me, seems like a win. I don't really see why we dismiss a transfer from Mizzou. We can have other reasons for not wanting McKinney, but him coming from Mizzou does not seem like a very good one. If one of our players (god forbid!) left SLU and transferred to Mizzou, I would be PISSED! I'm sure they feel the same way, even if they won't admit it.
